How well do you know steemit blockchain?

I have been on the Steemit platform for almost 4 months today and for that reason I can say that I know a little about the Steemit blockchain and I will be discussing what I know below.

Steemit blockchain is a decentralised social media platform that pays users for writing and curating article through the PoB algorithm. This means that you can earn from the platform by writing article or by voting orln other people's article.

So writers and investors earn some form of token in the blockchain called the Steem token which is tradable in so many exchange platform. Currently, the Steemit platform pays user in SP and SBD.

SP goes to your savings directly which takes some time before it can b converted to normal Steem where it can be tradable anytime whereas the SBD is a token use to purchase Steem at anytime.

How can you explain steemit to a stranger?

Just like the Steemit platform was explained to me, if I have the opportunity to explain to a stranger I will do that also in a very clear language using the words below.

Steemit is a social media platform that pays you for doing that activities you love most and also showing or sharing with people how you do it so that they too can learn from you.

This means that you will get paid in a currency called Steem which you can also convert to your native currency and use at any point and time. This was how Steemit was explained to me and I picked interest in it as well.

What is the meaning of this acronym CSI on steemit. How can a user know his /her voting CSI.

The acronym CSI stands for community support index/indicator. The acronym alone is self explanatory and for that reason I will just say briefly about my understanding of the said word.

CSI which stands for community support index or indicator is a criteria that shows how a Steemit user support another user on the Steemit platform. This means the more support you give to users the more your voting CSI.

To know your voting CSI, go to steemworld.org and then in the title bar change the username and input yours and then check the stats point and you will see your voting CSI. I have marked the place in the screenshot above.

What is the work of curators on steemit?

Everyone who votes on another users post is a curator. So all Steemians who support others by means of voting are all curators. Curation means voting and commenting on others peoples post after reading through their post and seeing value in it.

Currently there are two major type of curators i.e big curators and the small curators. Those who use community account with a large SP are called big curators. Those that use the Steemcurators account or other big accounts are all called major curators.

In the case of minor curators, those with little SP like you and I that gain Steem through the process of writing alone are called minor curators.

What is SP ? . How long does it take to return to Steem if a power down is being initiated.

SP is the amount of Steem that gives you influence on the platform. SP helps Steemians to perform activities on the platform such as voting, commenting, posting etc.

Without out SP you can not perform any activities on the Steemit platform. So SP is like the fuel that enables you to perform activities on Steemit.

If a power down is been initiated, you are expected to stay one month before coming back to the platform so as to remain in a club. So one month after power down is all you need to return to the Steemit platform.
