Huge Pity For Our Police Patrols

Though I haven't traveled out of my country before due to capital and high cost, but all thanks to movies and the world wide web I have been seeing police cars funded by government and how beautiful they always are

You will see their police especially the American police patrol vehicle rolling the streets on a very nice and beautiful sedan car and with just two officers in it which is the driver and his partner, no doubt when things get out of hand they call for backup

---

Not to talk of Australian, Asian and European police officers you will always see them with nice vehicles which always start at one kick and move in one press with no stress unlike the one you just see in the above picture which is my countries police vehicle

We Nigerians, we can all agree with the fact that when a political office holder which may be either an executive, representative, senators, commissioners, LGA chairman's etc. passes by on the street we normally see the kind of luxury cars that they make use of.

Even the officer's that follows them on their convoy or as escort always drive in a very beautiful and expensive car, but when you turn around and see the police officers on the street especially the quick response team, road safety team or any other crime unit patrol you will see them with tattered vehicle that is push and start.

Which makes me to wonder if the only interest of those in political office are only to make their escort fine and beautiful and in the process neglect the officers who are safe keeping our society in terms of scaring away criminals on the streets.

I remember once when I saw a team of police patrol in etinan their car wasn't nice at all and it had a total breakdown and they were trying to fix it up so as to move, then at the same time it makes me to wonder if paraventure a criminal case or robbery is being reported and the criminals escaped how would they pursue them talkless of catching them for justice sake

And also I remember some years back it was a multi millionaire by name dangote who offered our officers free patrol cars, not because he wanted to run an election but because he saw that it was necessary for effective response to criminal cases in our society

Meanwhile our politicians (the so called leaders) are busy in public office embezzling public funds and claiming to handle public issues that seems not to benefit anyone
