Hello good Nigerian steemians how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, as for me I'm perfectly fine, and today I will be participating in an amazing contest organize by @okere-blessing which is titled "Courtship !How should it be?"

Meaning Of Courtship, Do You Believe In Courtship Before Marriage.

According to my own personal understanding of what courtship is, it is simply a period of time in which two people in a relationship uses to get to know each other more than just friends

It usually a period which falls between engagement and the day both partners are joined together in marriage to become husband and wife, it is the period in which the man gets to know more about the girl he wants to marry and likewise for the girls as well.

I believe in courtship before marriage not just not just as a process but as a way of getting to know more about the person we'd wish to settle down with, to know more about each other likes and dislikes, discover each other spark and so much more

I so much believe in courtship because it gives room for self discovery for both couples before holy matrimony

How Many Years Should Courtship Last Before Marriage.

Haha, this is always the funniest part as we all are aware of courtship before marriage and yeah it's normal in all relationships but a situation whereby most people makes it to last forever is what I don't like and each time I see it I always laugh 😂

On a normal stat I sincerely think that courtship shouldn't last more than a year before marriage though it depends on the type of relationship both couples are into for example we have long distance relationships such a relationship courtship may last more than a year or two depending on how frequent they get to see each other

But in a normal close relationship I think that courtship should last at least a minimum of nine months and a maximum of one year, because I'm definitely sure that within the period of one year a person can definitely learn all there is about their partner

Is Courtship A Guarantee For Successful Marriage

Like I'd said earlier it all depends on the type and nature of the relationship but in a normal sense courtship doesn't necessarily guarantee a successful marriage or a happy marriage life, rather what really determines all of this are;

• love
• marriage determination
• respect etc.

Love is one of the greatest thing that guarantees marriage as well as marriage determination which has to do with the determination by both couples to stay and spend the rest of their lives with each other and lastly respect, ones you love you partner and the determination to be with each other is they respect surfaces because to you your partner is perfect before your eyes as a result of that respect is guaranteed.

What Is Your Say About Sex During Courtship ? Is It A Yes Or No To You Let's Have Your Reasons.

Sex during courtship to me personally isn't advisable so my answer to this question is a strong "No" both parties Shou endeavor to try and control their urge until when the are legally married

Another important reason why I strongly said no to this idea is because sex during courtship encourages loss of interest mostly for the guys as they will start looking outside for other girls which we all know that it doesn't always ends well.

Any Advice For Those In Courtship Right Now.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, so my dear if you are currently in a courtship right now please take your time because marriage isn't something we wake up one day and rush into to avoid unnecessary regrets like I have been seeing in most relationships

So please take your time with your partner try not to keep secrets from each other because no matter how you try to hide the truth from your partner at the end it will surely come to light so please try not to keep secrets from each other, feel free to spit it out they will stay if only they were meant for you

Courtship is one of the most amazing period in a relationship because it is the time of knowing you partner, a period of open secrets and a period we'd make the most out of our relationship which is always very romantic
