What is your definition of "Giving"
My definition of "Giving" means the tendency of a person to give generously without expecting anything in return. I have so many ways to define giving in other words, Giving is the act of showing compassion to others through supporting and making a positive difference in the lives of others who are the receiver.
I believe the secret power of giving or the true spirit of giving is when we give without publicizing or expecting to receive anything in return. This is why it is said that givers never lack and giving is the act of showing love to people.
What should be the right motive behind giving
The motive behind giving is to please God who is the giver of all things and to serve his interest. Giving is motivated by the love a person has for God and the desire for the person to serve GOD which is why it is believed that there is a reward to giving.
Also, the motive behind giving should be a way of instilling or expressing gratitude for having. When it comes to expressing gratitude both the receiver and giver should be happy. Finally, the motive of giving should be the desire to support and encourage the receiver to keep working hard.
Do you believe in giving and publicizing the act? I.e sharing on social media
I believe in giving but not in publicizing the act like sharing on social media. As a Christian, I am being taught that when giving with the right hand the left hand shouldn't know about it, which simply means that when we are giving something to someone we should not go about publicizing it.
Giving is meant to be between the giver, receiver, and God who sees and knows all things. I don't see a point in sharing what I have done for someone on social media for people to see.
Mention some of the ways you think the act of giving should not be done
Well, some of the ways I think the act of giving should be done are shared below.
- The giver should first decide in his or her heart what to give.
- Giving should not be under compulsion of reluctant
- Giving should be done cheerfully.
- Giving shouldn't be publicized
- Giving should a volunteer something
- Spend Time with Others
