Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 57:What gender do you prefer your child to be?

Fellow steemians,

I would gladly commend the cordinator,@steem4nigeria community and fellow participants on this interesting topic.
Please permit me to make my entry on the topic only based on my pre-conceived perception before marriage.

Boy,or girl child,which do you think is more expensive to train? Give your reasons

Both gender are unique in their different upbringing costs, and position in the family, but the girl child is more expensive than the boy child despite all expectations and values embedded in a boy child.
this same boy child, you will only need to feed him up to a certain age he will take care of himself,give him clothing at childhood,educate him with less amount of money.
But the girl child,you will go extra mile to provide her with sanitary wares,trending hair styles,expensive clothing,extra professional education to be able to appear catchy and compete with her peers and the boy child in the society,if you fail to provide these extra needed care,the girl child can feel abandoned and resort to flirting,and can even be impregnated or lose her womb and become a problem to the society or burden to the man that will eventually marry her.

If you were to be a parent today,which gender do you prefer to have as your children? Give us your reasons.

Before now,even till today,I prefer having male gender all through as children to females due to the following reasons:
A boy child is believed to sustain the family lineage.
He inherits the father's land,major properties and administer them.
He bears and sustain the name of the father.
As he grows,he serves as a defender to his siblings and aged parents.
The boy child grows to cater for the needs of his aged parents and in laws through his good wife.
Male children give the mother impetus to be a bonafide owner and part of the man's home.
In case of disagreement between the father and the mother,the Mother tend to win the dispute whether she is right or wrong because of the presence of the male children.
Male children,are highly recognized mostly by the community because of what the community expects from them in the nearest future.
They are expected to be future youth leaders that will drive the future of the community to desired destination in terms of security architecture ,economic growth and development.
Male children are potential husbands of their female counter parts.

Due to the uniqueness of their development in these 3 different stages of adolescence:
Early adolescence (10-14 yrs.)
Middle adolescence (15-17 yrs.)and
Late adolescence (18-24 yrs)respectively.
There is no doubt that the male children tend to go out of control,and this is due to the potential traits in them to be risk- taker,defender and provider.

What do you think about the statement; "what a boy can do,a girl can do better"?

The saying is not absolutely true,in as much as the girl child will always squat to pee so are the certain characteristics they possess cannot be equal to that of a boy.
A boy can develop and produce sperm necessary for fertilization,which the girl child cannot.
The boy can develop muscles needed for certain sports or activities which the girl child cannot.
The boy develops deep voice at certain age while the girl child voice becomes tinier.
The boy child can develop a strong mind of which,if the mother or father did not control,the boy child can leave the parents and become whatever he wishes himself in life,but the girl child lacks such mind power and enjoys being a perpetual dependant to her parents till the time she matures ready to be handed over to her husband.
In short,the abilities of a male child cannot be equal to that of a female child.
