A beautiful morning to everyone in this family today. I hope our Tuesday is going so well and as expected? mine is going well too but, when I visited the market yesterday and from what I am hearing this morning has brought down my high spirit and this, I want to share with everyone here.

It is quite disheartening to see that people are suffering from high cost of living and as a result of that, a lot of beggars are now seen on the street. there number keep increasing everyday by day and this left me to wonder how well can we survive the inflation. let us take a joy ride on this issue today.

Before we begin this wonderful discussion, I will like to explain what the word inflation is all about and then talk a few things on it before I proceed.

WHAT IS INFLATION?

The word inflation can be seen as a great increase in the general level of price which in turn affect the livelihood of individuals, it is seen as the increase in cost of living. now this is a simple definition of the word inflation. the high cost of living is as a result of a decline in our economic and hence we get to see many people struggling in other to earn a living to to put a meal on their table. many people do not have the means of getting even a one square meal not to talk of three.

And this inflation keep getting worse every now and then. it not only seen in Nigeria, many countries are also facing this same condition as we speak and it is something that if not attended to, I fear for the vulnerable. it is quite painful to know that our economic is going down when we have leaders at the top, all they do is to control the money flow and choose not to respond to the cry of the masses which is typically uncalled for.

We just concluded two beautiful contest which I participated and they all relate to this topic today. @steem4nigeria had a just concluded contest which talked about aggression among youth-causes and effect where we get to see different entries from several users and some pointed out the word economic as a factor of it causes. and I ell you that with high inflation in a society, anger and aggression will be seen in the behavior of the people and not just the youth.

We also had another wonderful content that was held in this community by @lhorgic which he titled what doesn't kill you make you stronger and we saw many entries, others agreed to it totally, some agreed partially and some do not agree completely, and I believe this topic is in line with those that do not agree to the statement completely. reason is that, how can you tell someone that has not eaten to stay calm for if the hunger does not kill him will make him stronger tomorrow?

When someone does not eat anything for two day, watch the body system of that person for eventually the cells will get weakened and if the system is not provided with food to regain energy, that person will die in due time. so you see, it is not everything that does not kill you will make you stronger, hunger might not kill a person today but it will definitely kill that person if he or she does not have anything to eat.

SOME FACTORS THAT TRIGGERS THE INFLATION

There are certain factors that triggers inflation in a country's economic and I will be talking about two basic factor which I have witness to be an eyesore and here are the few below.

  • GOVERNMENT - The government foresee the activities of a country and also look out for the people in that country, they are expected to provide welfare and all that concerns the people in other to promote adequate standard of living for the people in the country. But it is a shame to know that the leaders are just after their own benefits and nothing else.

There is no way inflation will be seen in the country without the knowledge of the government but rather they pay deaf ears to the cry of the people and then increase taxes, prices of food items and so on which will then affect then standard of living in the community. they only look after their families and relation leaving the masses to be consumed in abject poverty.

  • THE MASSES - Do you know that sometimes we are the cause of our problems? the masses are not equally helping matters. reason for this statement is that, I went to the market recently and I bought a tuber of yam for #700 which is equivalent to 4.3 steem in respect to the current steem price. and then I went back yesterday to buy that same tuber of yam and it was sold for me at the rate of #1000 which is equivalent to 6.2 steem.

Now tell me, how does yam that we cultivate in our country gain such increase within the space of two days? so that is how we cause this problem. everyone is up for his or her self and as such the inflation keeps getting worse until we realized that we are the cause of our problems, it would not stop.

Traders in the country increase prices of goods just to get more profits even when the goods are yet to gain increase in price and when this information gets to the producers hearing, they will equally increase the prices of the said goods too and that is how it will keep on going. often times, we use our hands to crucify ourselves because of the love of money. we no longer think about others but ourselves and that is unfair.

The inflation in price of food items and other resources is indeed a thing to be worried-sick about and the question that has been thrown at us all is how well can we survive the inflation. things are getting so bad than they were, what is the solution, how do we counter this problem? this is the question we will ever live to ask ourselves until a breakthrough comes.

It was a pleasure to let this out of my mind, I await your responds friends. thank you all for reading.
