RE: SLC-S25/W2-Movie Snapshots|Book to Screen (Jungle Book)
This was such a warm and lovely post! šæ
Even though I havenāt read the book myself either, I could feel the love and joy you experienced while watching The Jungle Book just from how you wrote about it. The scene you picked, Mowgli and Baloo floating in the river and singing The Bare Necessities, is honestly one of my favorites too! Thereās something so peaceful and innocent about that moment. It shows how even in the wild, there can be laughter, love, and rest.
I also liked what you said about family not always being about blood, but about care, support, and being there for one another. Thatās such a powerful message that The Jungle Book captured beautifully. You made a great point about movies helping us connect quickly through visuals and sound. Sometimes, seeing the characterās eyes or hearing their laughter leaves a deeper impression than just reading words on a page.
I could also imagine how you would write the river scene as a book, with smells, sounds, and emotions woven into the words. That part made me smile!
Thanks for reminding us that joy doesnāt always come from big things, sometimes itās found in the simplest, most playful moments.
Thanks for your nice feedback
You are welcome.
