Engagement in a relationship means an agreement or promise to marry someone. It is mostly done between a man and a woman. As a man, when you have seen a lady whom you love, you can engage her, which is a sign that no man should come her way seeking to be friends with her. Engaging a woman means you want to marry her, since you have special feelings for her.

At what age should a guy or lady be engaged?

25 years should be the age at which a guy or a lady should get engaged. 25 years and above is a mature age at which I believe a guy can take care of a family. Although nowadays, it's no longer the age that people are looking for first but money to keep the marriage going smoothly,

What are the things you consider in a person before engaging or accepting engagement?

Well, I am a lady, and before I accept a man's engagement, I will ensure that I consider some of the things detailed below before accepting the person's engagement.

• What the person is doing for a living
• His family background if he is coming from a noble family
• If he can take good care of me and my unborn children's
• If he is supportive and caring,

How long is right for engagement before marriage?

I think 2 years is the right number of years that it should take for engagement before marriage. Anything more than two years is not right for me. Engaging someone is like stopping the person from having affairs with another person because you have already developed an interest in her.

Yes, a lot of things can change someone's mind after engagement. Things like
Dating another person after being engaged
Parents decision

• Cheating
• Sickness
• Blood group issues, etc.

Is engagement a guarantee for marriage?

Engagement is not a guarantee for marriage. It is just a step, and it is said that man proposed, but God disposed, which means the plan of God is not that of man. I have seen a situation where a man engaged a lady whom he trained in school, and at the end of the day, the marriage didn't work out as planned initially.
