Steem4Nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 9 - I wasn't Informed.
Hello friends in Steem 4 Nigeria community. I am pleased to participate again in a contest organised by @steem4nigeria. It's been two weeks now and I have not been able to post in Steemit platform due to power outage in my area. Today I will be writing about how I was misinformed that lead to losses of money and regrets. You are welcome to my blog, I hope you will read through and learn some lessons as well.
What do you understand by being "informed" "uninformed "partially informed", misinformed? |

Information is a very important part of human life. We are where we are in life because of the amount and quality of information we are exposed to. It is in the quest for information to improve our life that we must engage in long life learning. "If you are uninformed you will be deformed".
Informed To be "informed" is to be knowledgeable about certain things in life, and for one to be informed he or she must position himself to acquire the information by being curious. You do not just accept information at it first sight. You must be deliberate to verify the authenticity of the information before making further decisions from the information. This is why the importance of education cannot be overemphasized.
Uninformed To be informed is to be unaware, unknowledgeable about certain things. It is the opposite of being informed. If a person is uninformed he is not knowledgeable about certain things and this can lead to the deformation of the person. An uninformed person can be limited because he is not exposed to opportunities and certain things in life that could make him go far in life.
Partially Informed For information to be complete it must be fully delivered. To be "partially Informed" is to access or be exposed to incomplete information and this can be fatal. For instance I read a story and here is how it goes:
An Aeroplane cleaner was cleaning the Pilot's cockpit when he saw a book titled, "HOW TO FLY AN AEROPLANE FOR BEGINNERS (Volume 1)
He opened the first (1st) page which said: "To start the engine, press the red button...". He did so, and the airplane engine started...
He was happy and opened the next page...:
"To get the airplane moving, press the blue button... "He did so, and the plane started moving at an amazing speed...
He wanted to fly, so he opened the third (3rd) page which said: To let the airplane fly, please press the green button... "He did so and the plane started to fly...
He was excited...!!
After twenty (20) minutes of flying, he was satisfied and wanted to land, so he decided to go to the fourth (4th) page... and page four (4) says; "To be able to know how to land a plane, please purchase Volume 2 at the nearest bookshop!"
Moral Lesson
Never attempt anything without having complete information.
Half Education is not only dangerous but destructive!!!. Get complete information before embarking on any decision.
Misinformed To be misinformed is to be informed about something wrongly. To be lied to. To be misdirected or mislead. This is why it is of essence for one to be self studied. Do not always rely on a first hand information. Always verify whatever information you receive before taking any action.

Partially Informed was my experience. I was introduced into a networking business with promises that I will be making so much money by just introducing in new people. I was not fully informed that from time to time I would be asked to re-register myself at some point. This partial information made me to go ahead with the registration only hoping to be introducing new members into the network but as time went by they started emphasizing that I must have to re-register myself in the network and at this point I did not have money again and was not equally making any gain from the business. This became so frustrating as I got my money stock in a business that I was not making profit.
How did you handle it and what were the lessons learnt.?
I just had to let go as I could no longer continue with the business. The lessons learned was that I would never embark on any business transactions without actually analysing it to understand the consequences and future outcomes. I must gather complete information about something before taking actions and decisions with such information. Introducing someone to Networking business without giving the person proper orientation is very bad. We all needs information to grow. Partially information is not good. Best of luck to you.
