Hi steemians.

I welcome you to my blog today🤗, thank you all for always stopping by and for the everyday support I really appreciate🙏

How do you manage to stay calm during an argument?

CONFLICTS: It can simply be referred to as a disagreement between two or more persons. Conflicts usually happen when two or more persons do not understand themselves in a particular situation. Lack of proper understanding or disagreement is often what leads to conflicts.

One can manage to stay calm during an argument by keeping quiet i.e even when the fellow person involved in the argument is talking, keeping quiet and not responding back at him can be capable of resolving and getting the argument peacefully settled without resulting to any fight.

Also, the reason why I say keeping quiet is the best way to stay calm during an argument is that, continual response with the other person you are arguing with, will get you more hurt and angry, because the more you respond, the more the person will release more hurtful words that will stir up your anger and you won't be able to stay calm.

Proverbs 15:1 says" a soft answer turneth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger"

Therefore the best way to stay calm in an argument is to talk less, or better still keep quiet.

Why is it important to listen carefully during a disagreement?

It is very important to listen carefully during an argument because, careful listening will give you a better understanding about the problem that leads to the disagreement.

And in case if someone wants to intervain to that very situation, attentive listening will warrant him to be able to beat the point that could bring understanding between the two parties involved without being endangered by the disagreement.

How does understanding someone else's feelings help in resolving conflicts?

This is really an interesting question, when you understand how someone feels, it gives you better understanding of who the person is, what the persons likes and dislikes.

From there you'll be able to know also the little things that usually makes the person angry, and you on the other hand will try to avoid saying or doing what will stir up the persons anger, since you have understanding about the persons feelings.

The more you understands someone feelings, the lesser conflicts or disagreement comes between you both... So understanding someone feelings helps a lot in resolving conflicts

What can we do to control our anger during an argument?

There is this popular addage that says "silent is the best answer giving to a fool".

Therefore, the best way to control our anger during an argument is to practice the habit of keeping quiet and ignoring or not paying attention to whatever the other person will be saying, no matter how painful and hurting the words might be.

Consider it as if the person arguing with you is speaking to the air, you shouldn't give a listening ears to whatever the person might be saying at that moment.

Pretend to be foolish at the moment but not foolish, deaf but not deaf, dumb but not dumb you just need to act this way just to prevent yourself from becoming, acting or reacting angry at that moment of argument.

I invite @ahbaz @abdullahw2 @okere-blessing @eddiemalachy to participate in this contest.

THANK YOU ALL💞💕🙏🙏

Staying calm during an argument just as you have said , would go along way in conflict resolution. As much as it's not an easy thing to do, it's very necessary. It takes the more matured and sensible person to be quiet. Argument benefits no one. Nobody is learning from that circumstance. If you are not learning from why waste your energy on it.
