Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 51: A Day Like A Thousand Years.
Do you know anytime you are conscious of time it will slow like never before, sometimes I wonder the mystery behind it. Let me unfold my pregnancy journey and how it looks like a thousand years that will not come soon.
As a young girl who was a novice about pregnancy, I didn't know it will happen to me so quick, after my NYSC I was lucky to meet my better half who happened to be my lovely-wedded husband. Without waiting that much I became pregnant the journey came with mixed reactions yeah. I said this because I was happy that I'm pregnant then I was not feeling myself like before.
I lost my appetite and weight, I can't go out all I could do was to sit at a corner and vomit. After vomiting I will feel very weak and tired. I will try eating something to regain my strength all to no avail untill I went to hospital for check up and they gave me some drips that helped for some hours before I continued my vomiting.
Before you know it my Tommy was growing so big, I started counting my days. I finished my first trimester and the second one seems endless. I kept managing. Hoping to see my 40 weeks so that I can hold my baby.
Let me tell you friends, second trimester came and I was rejoicing that I'm almost there but it was like the added another weeks . What will I do can someone help me and carry the pregnancy while I rest a little the answer is No, with God by my side I pulled through the day I was waiting for came. And it was like A Day like A Thousand years.
When my baby came , I forgot the long days I was waiting my joy was complete. Whenever I turn and look at my baby who is now a big boy I give God thanks .
The journey of pregnancy is always like a thousand years that wouldn't come soon, but as time is going the days will be drawing near and finally it will come to an end and the rest becomes story.
Are you looking for anything that may have taken longer than expected believe me the end will definitely be joyful. As such I will encourage you not to give up believe the saying that There's light at the end of the tunnel
Just like I told you my pregnancy journey, 40 weeks was like a thousand years but it came and here I'm today being called a mommy because I endured till the end.
