A skill is a special technique used to fulfil a purpose. In this context, a skill could be that additional strategy that makes us stand out among the crowd, in a society where skill lacks the possibility of an individual to move to the top doesn't exist. Skills could be applied even in a career, or professional field etc, it is a strategy.

In your country is skill or skills needed for survival or not?

We might still be wondering why I said it is a strategy in a society where unemployment is rampant, we all need a strategy to go up, some people think skill is only for those who are not in school no it could be for anyone, My dad is medical practitioner but he can make a basket perfectly, he is very good in craft work, the other time in the hospital he working, they were supposed to make an inscription on a new ambulance and an artistic craft man was needed so he volunteers, people were so surprised at that, finally he was given the work, that inscription has been there for more than 5 years and it still looks very new and that gave him almost 1/5 of his monthly salary.
So you see in my country we don't fold our hands to watch food come down from heaven, we need skills to survive when salaries are not paid, in school as a student we do fliers on our computers and get small cash from people, back then in primary school, I remember when I drew for some of my classmate and the money was enough to purchase myself a textbook.

Tell us some skills in you country that are so resourceful

Skills is an informal means of education, I want to make it clear that you don't need a classroom with different lecturers, and a curriculum, nor do you pay tuition every term(3 months) as it is in my country that is why I classify the following as skills.

• Welding
• Making aluminium glass
• Bricklaying/tiling
• Carpentry
• Barbing

• Photography
• Basket weaving
• Cosmetology(make-up, hairdressing)
• Fashion designing/tailoring
• Shoemaking

• Mechanics (repairing of cars, motorcycles, trucks etc)
• Electrical electronics(repairing phones, stereos, video players, television, headsets etc)
• Computer mini skills(typing, photocopying, printing etc)
  The list is almost endless.

Often, my costly appliances get spoiled. I always feel I could repair them but what I don't know is above me, so for me, I would love to learn electrical electronics and if possible mechanics.
