Self-motivation also allows us to be more independent, creative and proactive.
This is very true. When we take the bull by it's horn, we become independent and stop being dependent. Just like you said, it is very necessary to have a close friend or loved one around who can listen and advice when depression sets in.
I love your motivation on steemit and remember, you are one of my motivations here...
