It is another great time for participation in steemit engagement contest. Language is what identifies people and where they come from. There are over 7000 languages that are spoken in the world today.

The whole world spoke just one language initially but the particular language they spoke is unknown by me not until the time of the great hunter that was in opposition to the Almighty thought that he could control the whole world by working against the will of the Almighty. The holy scriptures may it clear that the Almighty thwarted his plans and so many languages sprang up and this humans dispersed to various locations of the world and they went in groups according to the languages. That is why there are so many languages that are spoken in the world today.

Hence, when my country got independence from her colonial master, she continued with her languages as we are going to learn in the contest using the tips provided. Just follow along.

We are going to learn about the languages of my country and it's beauty.

What is the name of your country? How many languages can be found in your country?

My Country's Name is Nigeria. The most populous country in Africa. It is a country filled with many vibes, many cultures, many types of foods, hospitable and loving citizens. So many tribes and ethnic group exist in my country making her one of the most beautiful place to be.

Nigeria my country is known as one of the most diverse countries in the world when it comes to languages. She boasts of having more than 500 Languages spoken within her. The official language spoken in Nigeria is English because her colonial master was Britain but it is not usually used as a means of communication in the rural parts of the country and amongst people of the lower educational class.

Among the listed languages in your country, how many are you familiar with?

Among these plethora of languages existing in my country Nigeria, I can only boast of speaking one Language perfectly, that particular language is the Igbo language.

There are other languages that I can speak a little but not fluently. These languages are Yoruba and Efik. I have lived in Lagos for some number of years and currently living In a place where they speak Efik. I believe that one day, I will be perfect in speaking Efik.

How has this language improved/helped your life and business?

Language is a strong determinant of a successful business. Being able to speak these languages even In a little way has helped me in improving my business and communicate effectively with my customers.

Additionally, I live amongst people who do not speak my mother tongue, so learning their language helps me to effectively interact with them and enjoy a more personal relationship with them. It closes the communication barrier of speaking a different language.

On a general level, learning and speaking these different languages have helped me scale so many obstacles in life.

Are you willing to teach your children these languages? Yes/No. State your reason.

I am very willing to teach my children all these languages and more. If I had my way, I would want them to learn the major indigenous languages spoken in my country Nigeria. They are Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba.

There ability to speak these languages proficiently is a big plus for them even when it comes to employment and communication with people when they live home.

It helps them to be able to integrate and mix well with the people around them and understand their culture more.

It helps them to build their memory skills,

It helps to train and improve their listening skills

It helps them to create and develop more confidence to learn other peoples languages.

It helps them to build stronger vocabulary and be able to converse in any language that they want.

Infact the list is inexhaustible.

Conclusion

Languages is very important in any culture or nationality. It distinguishes you from the next person.

I am willing to learn more languages indigenous in Nigeria and become more proficient in the ones I know already.

I invite @irawandedy @mesola and @uzma4882 to take part. The contest is here. All the best to you all!

Your understanding of the history of language and diversity in Nigeria is very interesting. Your desire to pass on the language heritage to children as an added value to their lives is a wise and enriching approach. Language is not only a means of communication, but also a window to culture and a deeper understanding of the world around us.

Hello friend

The languages are so much in the country as you rightly stressed but you ar fluent with the Igbo language which is something you can speak so well. The country is a populous country as you rightly stressed and there are lots of people with great vibes and culture in it. You stressed how you would love to learn the Efik and I believe you can achieve whatever you put your mind to achieve. You shared that you would teach these languages to your children as they need it for posterity sake and develop their values and live for the country. I enjoyed every bit of your entry and success in the challenge my dear friend

Your depiction of Nigeria's language diversity is truly enlightening! The series of languages within the country is a testament to its cultural richness.
It's wonderful to see your commitment to embracing and learning various languages, with Igbo, Yoruba, and Efik adding unique dimensions to your list of languages.

Your country is Nigeria. And there are usually 500 languages. But people in your country also speak English. You can say hello very well in Igbo language. Also, the language where you are living now is Efik language. And you can't speak this language yet but I am sure one day you will be able to speak this language very well.

Nigeria conocido como el gigante de África donde existen una gran variedad de tribus, cada una con sus propio lenguaje, lo que hace importante conocer un poco de cada uno de ellos, tal como usted lo ha hecho.

Éxitos en el concurso.
