It's another wonderful time again. I welcome you to my blog. In my last post, I talked about "Are you mature?" If you have not read it, I urge you to go to my post and read it. It will surely bless you. That being said, today I am going to be talking about something important. It's more spiritual, and I believe you will enjoy it. Take a seat, and let's look at it together.

WAIT FOR THE LORD

I will be sharing a verse in the scripture with you. The bible verse was written by Psalmist.

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! (Psalm 27:14)

That scriptural verse is very powerful. We shall be taking some insights from that verse. Okay, let's go now.

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!(Psalm 27:14)

The bible verse can be divided into 3:

  1. Wait for the Lord.
  2. Be strong.
  3. Let your heart take courage.

Now let's take it one by one.

👉 1. Wait for the Lord

Waiting is something that we don't want to do, especially the contemporary generation. We are always eager to get things done very quickly. As such, many have gone astray and have neglected the way of the Lord.
There is always a consequence for not waiting for the Lord. The consequences of not waiting can cause very great destruction.

He may seem late in our eyes, but please learn to wait for the Lord. He makes everything beautiful in His time, and He is never late.

👉 2. Be Strong

The second part says, "Be strong."

The time of waiting is characterized by so many challenges, trials, ups and downs, etc. That's the reason we are encouraged to be strong. To be strong means to be strengthened, to keep on grinding, etc. But where can you get strength?

Where do you get strength? During the waiting time, you can get strength from the people, friends, and family around you. However, you must be careful of your association with these people, because not many of them will encourage you to wait for the Lord. Hence, mind who you associate with.

Where do you get strength?

The ultimate place to get strength during the time of waiting is from the Word of God. As you read the word of God continually, you renew your strength to keep on waiting. You must be strong and not allow the situation to make you waiver. Just like Father Abraham, he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in the Lord, giving glory to God.

👉 3. Let your heart take courage

This is the last part of Psalm 27:14 we are considering. To let your heart take courage simply means "to be courageous and to be brave." Why are we encouraged to be courageous during the waiting time? Like I said earlier, there are so many challenges, trials, and difficult situations one will battle with during the waiting time. If one is not courageous, brave, and confident enough, he may give in.

In waiting for the Lord, you have to be brave and courageous. During the waiting period, people will give you different options, suggestions, etc. That may be contrary to the instructions and will of God. You must be confident enough to say "no" to every ungodly counsel and suggestion.

Lastly, I beseech you, wait for the Lord. No matter how long it may seem in your eyes. God is never late. There is a great reward for whoever doesn't throw away his confidence, as the scripture says.

✓ Wait for the Lord
✓ Be strong
✓ Let your heart take courage.

God bless you.
