Hello everyone. I welcome you to my article this time around. I hope you are good wherever you are seeing this post from. It's another wonderful time again to share with you from my diary of Daily Lessons.

In my last post, I talked about "the need for feedback". I was sharing the importance of welcoming feedback from people. I told you that accepting feedback aids growth. It's one of the things we should embrace if we really want to grow. So many people have built on their mistakes because they aren't open to feedback.

I hope you enjoyed the article and picked one or two lessons. That said, today, I want to share another important lesson with you. I believe it will be a great help to you just as it is to me, too. Therefore, I implore you to read to the last line in order to pick everything in this article.

Take the Initiative

One of the things I have noticed is that, people fail to take initiative, and that actually delay important things to be done. Sometimes we see that something is important to do, but we don't do just because we don't see the reason to do it, or it's not our job to do it.

People Who don't take Initiative Complain About Things.

One thing is very common to people who don't take initiative: they complain about the situation. They see that something important need to be done, and they never see any reason to do it, and they will complain that it's not their job.

If we can just learn to take initiative, most of the things we complain about, we will not complain about them. If you see something that's not placed properly, you can take the initiative to place it right instead of complaining.

People Who Don't Take Initiative Aren't Good Leaders

If you give me three people and tell me to tell you a great leader among them, I will ask you to give me some time to see who first sees a need to get things done and do it. The truth is, anybody who can't take initiative is not fit to be a leader. Leaders are good initiative takers.

One of the best ways to recognize someone who will make a great leader is by noticing how fast he is in taking initiative. Once you have seen someone who doesn't want something to spoil or destroy, he must be a good leader. And once you see people who don't , they aren't good leaders.

People Who Don't Take Initiative Don't Care

People who don't care about things are likely going to be people who don't take initiative. Taking initiative starts from caring. If you see someone who's so concerned about a situation and is looking for every possible way to make the situation better, then he's a good initiative taker.

Some people don't care about anything. They don't want to contribute to the betterment of anything. If you see people like that, they don't take initiative. Since they don't even see the reason to take any initiative because they are comfortable about the situation.

People Who Don't Take Initiative Don't Grow.

People Who keeps growing are those who constantly take initiative. Seeing what needs to be done and taking action towards it will help you grow your capacity. You see, most of the time, taking initiative requires fast thinking. And thinking aids growth.

Anybody who does take initiative doesn't put his mind to work. And without putting your mind to work, your mind doesn't expand, and nobody grows until his mind is expanded. If you desire growth, intentionally take initiative every time.

People Who Don't Take Initiative Are Lonely

You can't cultivate the habit of taking initiative and not be surrounded by people. One of the things I look for when I want to know how good you are at taking initiative is to see how people enjoy your company, and how they relate with you. People Who take initiative will always have people around them because they enjoy working with people together.

People who don't take initiative have nobody to work together with; that is if they work at all. If you take initiative, you will see people follow you. People will want to be part of the great thing you want to achieve.

I challenge you today to be someone who takes initiative. See reason to do that which seems "not too good" around you. Take initiative to start doing something that makes a difference. It's people who take initiative that make a difference. You can be among difference maker, people who live a life of impact.
