greetings great steemians how are you all doing I hope you all are fine. welcome to my blog
is another great contest organised by @steem4nigeria community a contest like this will enable all of us to learn from others and also let others know about how profession.

  Introduce yourself and tell
 about your profession or skills

I'm Prince Morgan by name my username on steemit is @morgan76 I am from akwa ibom state I live in port Harcourt I'm a student in University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) currently in department of fine art and design I'm the first child that my mother gave birth too.but before I got admissions into the university have learnt a lot from my mother on how to make bags.
and I have passion for it.

what will you like to teach us?

today I will teach everyone of us how make or sew bags.
as a bag maker the main thing you need to know first is to learn the basic of making bags which is the cutting, the steps of joining or couple it the most important thing is the calculation .so I'm going to explain how to cut and sew bag with ankara, tarfiter and black belt or webbing.it is one of the most popular bags that serve as gift in occasion mostly for women.

this is the picture of what we are working on

the first thing you have to know is the way of cutting material to get this shape of what we are making.
We have the main body, long body and the handle.
you have to start with your main body
now since we are using ankara and tarfiter material to make this bag you have to cut everything two two piece that is front and back.

First thing to do is to fold your ankara material into two take the length of the bag you are making .but here we are working with length (15) and weight( 12) join the line together and cut it out.

You will have this.that is for the front and back
** step two (2)**
you have to calculate round the main body to get the long body after that you take the length of your long body.then for the long body the weight depends on how you want the size of your bag to be like but for this we are using five (5) plus one (1)inch sewing allowance then you cut it out.

this is what you will have
step three (3)
Join your ankara and tarfiter material together
front to front what will be showing is the back of the ankara and back of tarfiter material.
after that you turn it and sew it all round.

IMG_20220525_142224_397.jpg
at last you will have this. don't forget to trim it to be equal so that it won't affect you when you it to the long body.

some people will like it to be ankara all round if so you can attach ankara to it.but we are going to use plan back for the round body or long body
fold your long body up and the down add
up to one inch.

IMG_20220524_164917_374.jpg

step four (4)
now you can couple the front side of the with the long body together.

IMG_20220524_173858_480.jpg
just like this
step five (5)
couple the back together with the front and back make sure you see it very well.

IMG_20220524_173916_088.jpg
Finally the handle Which is know as webbing
the full length is (18)
Cut it and join it to the bag
then look into your finishing.
finally we have this.

why do we need to acquire this
 Knowledge that you have passed?

Fashion is one skills that attract people attentions.
so is a good idea to learn one of the skills in fashion.so I think bag is one of the best you should learn because bag is used any where
in the world to carry things like clothes, shoes and foodstuff etc.

talk about how technological advances have
affected you field this can be
 positive or negative?

as a bag maker or a designer we all know technology have make it easier for everyone of us for sewing. we have so many types of machine used in designing bags or clothes.
that makes work faster and neat.
for example industrial machine made work faster for telors or designer and we have different kinds of machine which helps a lot.

             Conclusion

like I say before I appreciate @steem4nigeria community for coming up with this contest.
it have made learn from others and give me the opportunity to teach my own profession
I'm sure everyone of us have what teach others.
I appreciate everyone that go through my blog
you are free to ask any questions
thanks.
