My Calling

Recently, I watch an argument between 2 pastor about who is the real pastor. They defined that a true pastor is a Pastor called by God.So that means if you're a pastor and God haven't called you, my dear, it's better you find your way. Why am I saying this?

In today's post we're going to be talking about calling, what calling means, and how someone can recover his or her calling. Am very sure we all want to know our calling, if yes, don't hesitate to read this post to the end. You're welcome to @mhizta blog once again.

What is calling?

Before talking about recovering our calling, let's first dive into what calling really mean, because is different from talent, how do you defined calling?

That word calling means deep sense of purpose or meaning in your life. We can say it's when you have a feeling that you're meant to do something specific, things that align with your talents and passions. So general, calling is what guide you and help you find meaning and fulfillment in your life.

In my own opinion in other to discover a calling it's means the person have to explore different opportunities and experiences. it's can be something in different categories like jobs and hobbies, because the more you explore they more you find interesting things that resonates with you.

Another way I suggest of recovering calling is by reflecting on your values, your passions, and what makes you feel fulfilled. What are those things that make you happy when you do it? It's about getting to know yourself and understanding what really matters to you.

I will say yes, but it depends, because sometimes someone might be called to be lawyer, an entrepreneur and a counselor while other are called to be only a Doctor. Does that really counts, to me, it's no. I don't have much to say about this because it's depend on ourselves. So we can't judge either this person have multiple calling than others.

My calling, hmmm, as am talking to you now, I don't even know what my calling is. My real name is Chosen, anytime i tell people my name, first they'll ask me if am going The Lord Chosen church, secondly, they'll like to ask, "who chose you, and I will answer, na God chose me" and we both laughed. Like I said to recover a calling we need to keep exploring and reflecting on those things that makes us fulfilled. I am still on the journey.

But for now, my calling is sharing the good news of God to people in anyway I can, telling them about what God promise to do for mankind, living a faithful life, a life that pleases God. How does that sound?

I can't really say yes or no because sometimes even after recovering that calling, the there's still other challenges in life ones must face. To me, recovering our calling doesn't means we are free from problems, is just that we have been able to figure out the meaning and purpose of our life, we have discovered what will make our life to be fulfilled. So to me, I will put it on, "IT DEPENDS"

For example, imagine discovering that you calling is to be assisting people but you lack finances, does that makes you successful for discovering your calling?

In conclusion, calling is a way of finding our the meaning and purpose of our life and we can discover our calling through exploring different opportunities and reflecting on those things that makes us happy. There's nothing with people who have multiple calling than other and recovering the calling doesn't guarantee that you'll be successful.
