Let's show how creative you are:- Drawing - Tortoise

Good day my fellow steemians, so nice joining with y'all in this wonderful contest organized by @benton3 published in the Steem4Nigeria steemit community. In this week contest, we are been told to draw a tortoise 🐢. Drawing a tortoise shouldn't be so hard, because what's make up a tortoise is it's head, limbs(fire and hind), and it's shell. I'll be drawing a tortoise in four different steps, but before proceeding it would be nice to know some important facts about the creature "tortoise" 🐢. A lot of people see the creature tortoise as a very insignificant creature, due to its slow and sluggish nature, however studies have shown that the tortoise possesses various significant and remarkable qualities and attributes that is obviously beneficial to our ecosystem. Tortoise also form a huge part of our folklore stories as being the most wise and cautious animal of all, I could remember vividly how my primary school teachers will always read to us from our class mandatory story books 📚 about how tortoise was able to singlehandedly deceive all other animals including the king of all animals"Lion" on many occasions. Without further ado, let's dive into the drawing of the tortoise.

First and foremost I got my drawing tools ready, that includes: my drawing sheet, pencil, eraser, and sharpener etc. I then proceeded by drawing the head of the tortoise.

Secondly I drew the tortoise's for arms, tortoise usually have muscular for arms

At this stage I've drawn the tortoise hind limbs, I also Sketched the shell for easy finishing. I recommend sketching to anyone drawing, who probably isn't sure of how to positioned a particular item in the drawing. Sketching helps him or her keeps trying until he or she gets it right.

Finally, I drew it's shell, and also shaded some parts to make it quite realistic. Below is the end result.

Tortoise and blessed with long lifespan and are able to live over 150 years. The only tortoise in the world is 400 years.

Tortoise and herbivorous animals and their feed only on shrubs and plants. Tortoise also like garbage.

Tortoise are characterized by slow movements. According to studies and adult studies is able to walk a miles within the time frame of 1.5 hours

Tortoise and characterized by having protective shell, their shell on their back is basically their home and they usually hide inside to get away from predators.

Tortoise are found in all continents except Antarctica.

Tortoise are Ectothermic creatures, meaning that they are cold-blooded.

Tortoise break their younger ones by laying eggs on land.

Tortoises are so much diverse in size ranging from a few inches to several feet depending on specie.

Tortoises possess poor hearing but absolutely have a good sense of smell.
