My Calling

It is true some people ignorantly work away from their calling which makes their new found field a little bit hard to cope but then when they get to find their way back to their default calling, they tend to find outmost peace and satisfaction doing whatever it is, in this contest organized by @okere-blessing I will be sharing my own opinion on our Calling.

Realizing one's calling might be a little bit tough and sometimes seems impossible especially if one have been glued to a certain field off his or her calling but at the same time fulfilment comes in doing what we were meant to do, permit me to share some ways to discover ourselves;

• Look inward and find what you feel happy doing.

• Be on the look out for the kind of people in a particular field you love keeping up with.

• Be conscious of those things you draw inspiration from.

• Take note of your repeated dreams.

• Do not be scared to start all over again (as long as it is your place of calling)

• Take a step towards being in the reality of your field.

Firstly, I will say the same way our faces looks different from eachother, that's how our gifts are, and yes, some people are more gifted than others depending on their tasks on earth but this doesn't mean they are more superior than those that have less calling.

Additionally, people can still find their way into having more than one calling through hard work and intense converting, by this I mean through consistent and committed mind, someone can fit into other professions perfectly, ofcourse it's happening in today's world, a clear situation of a Petroleum engineer practicing journalism.

Yes, I have realized my calling, it took me so many years to do so, I mean I was still working off my calling not until I realized I belonged to the tech world, before then I was wallowing cultivating in other people's dream and grooming them unknowingly to me I was just wilding away my time.

Right now, I feel so happy being in the tech world, writing and reviewing articles, I audit as well, I realized this since this 2 years ago right now I am just that one happy person living on my own terms, I can leave any job at anytime without bothering about what my next step will be.

Being able to discover one's calling is the first step towards living a successful, ofcourse we tend to do things in our default field with ease but achieve maximum results, this makes those that discover their calling early have an edge over those that discover late.

However, discovering ones calling is not a ticket to be successful, it's just a step, what makes one a successful person is the amount of work and commitment one has towards the calling. It is not enough to discover our calling, the work and consistency matters alot.

In life, no matter how well we think we are in a particular field, there are setbacks attached to it which often brings fear to our minds. So personally, I am scared of Technological evolution. We all know the world is evolving same with technology, the tech world has overtime experienced high surge of evolution and I am so scared to loose out of the trend and kill my brand on the long run.

Also, I am scared of having any health related issues that might limit my writing skill and my mental state, that will be the height of it, I have seen couple of people going through this and right now they are still finding their feat.
