Introduction

Many childhood dreams have been tarnished because of the distant relationships they have with their parents. One strong bond a person can think of is the connection between parent and child, parent-child relationship. Apart from marriage, parent-child bond is one of the strongest and most important. It brings that unity between a parent and his or her child. Not every family you see have that bond and at such some characters are non arguably present.

What is a relationship

Relationship is defined as a bond someone has with another person or something which is valuable to the person. It is so strong and this related to a covalent bond in chemistry where one cannot do without the other. In a relationship lots of things are needed or expected. At such parent-child relationship should be fostered in homes to build better homes for our children.

Most of the family problems today would have been averted if there were this cordial relationship between parents and their children was there. Many people (children and patents) would have been out of certain unnecessary problems if it was there.

Importance of parent-child relationship

parent-child relationship is very important as it helps the child grow and fosters unity.
It brings this trust between a child and the father. As a matter of fact, if the child have problems , the child tends to approach the parents and tells them.
Most times failures in school might not be the child's fault but as a parent when you are always blaming the child instead of hearing the child out the child continues being low academically. But when theres this cordial relationship, you as the parent know your child's capabilities and where to support him if need be.

The disadvantages of not having the above relationship as defined by its importance is simply the opposite. So as parents and guidance we should strive at all times to create this relationship with our children. They might not tell you they need it but trust me they need it more.
Try also to encourage your children. Do not be harsh on them. Try to give them time and attention and more importantly always pray for them to make the right choice.
