I'm so delighted to participate on this week contest titled: "Being Responsible" organized by @steem4nigeria in this great community, it's a pleasure to be here.

What does being responsible mean to you?

In a layman understanding, Being responsible means taking ownership of your actions, duties, and relationships, and not just that but being accountable, reliable, and mature.

Thus, A responsible person is someone who is reliable, accountable, trust-Worthy and also understand the importance of meeting their obligation and keeping to their promise. It can also be said that a responsible person is someone that can handle things with care and someone who is always able to do things that are expected to be done by him/her and not expecting someone to always repeat that something. In this regard when you acquire the character of being responsible, you become unstoppable in life, achieving your goals and you will be able to overcome obstacles with ease and confidence.

What are some ways you can be more responsible in your daily life?

You can be more responsible in life when:

• You own up to your actions because everyone makes mistakes but accepting them is so hard and shows an act of irresponsibility.
  Denying what you did does not show responsibility but the opposite

• By setting reality expectations and not over committing your self that is you set what you think you want to achieve and not over walking your self to it.

• Follow up on what you said you'll do: Try to do the things you say you will by trying not to break a promise

• Don't allow yourself to procrastinate: What ever, whenever,and wherever you said you will do something try to accomplish the task, the time you set to do it and also the place.
  DON'T PROCRASTINATE

• Get back up when you fall and keep going: No one is perfect so when mistakes are made try not to make that little mistake over shadow your plans, pick up from your mistake and keep moving forward.

These are some ways for someone to show he or she is responsible.

If someone fails to be responsible in life that person automatically fails in his job, team and also fails to grow as an individual. When you are not responsible you make other people's take control of the outcomes of your life and can also lead to strain relationships, guilt etc and all this are bad effects which could affects ones life.

Being responsible can also improve your work relationship, Enhance professional performance and boost your well being at work.

Being responsible also make us develop as a person, learn from mistakes and use our past experiences to make better judgement for the future.
