How important is Punctuality to you

Punctuality is an important character trait that shows respect for others and their time, it is the habit of being conscious of time such that the person always makes it on time. A punctual person makes it a point of duty to get to meetings and appointments at the right time and is not in the habit of makeing others wait for them.

Punctuality means showing consideration for others and their time. It's a way we show respect for others as being late can be disrespectful of others in a way.
Punctuality is often considered an important way of showing professionalism. So showing up on time is a professional behavior and evidence of good organizational skills because to be punctual a person has to plan carefully and execute it efficiently.

Punctuality helps a person build a positive reputation with friends, work mates and acquaintances. Only a fellow known for punctuality will make people conclude that something "is wrong, he should be here by now". And this can be life saving.

Punctuality makes a person dependable. Some staff have been given the key to the office or other facilities because they are punctual and can be trusted to open the place in good time.

Punctuality often comes with better productivity. A punctual person is usually well organized and are often given responsibilities which they handle well due to their being well organized.

Punctuality is linked to better health. Going late often comes with a measure of anxiety while being early has no such anxious suspense which leads better health.

"The early bird gets the worm" is a very common saying in my area. The saying highlights the benefit that comes with being punctual as it is believed that if you arrive early, you will be in a much better position to take advantage of all opportunities available.
Just like the case of a bird that arrives first or comes early has more chances of eating the worm, a punctual person will not miss any opportunity that shows up.

Without other factors affecting the outcome, this will be very true. Making oneself available early gives the person more opportunities compared to a person who comes late. And it appeals to our natural idea of justice to favour the person who was around from the start as suppose to a person who came latter.
So yes I agree with the saying that with everything being equal "The early bird gets the worm".

Based on the above mention ideology that supports the idea of being punctual, this second saying surggests that if we can not make it early to the appointment, it is still better to show up late than to fail to come all together.

Punctuality is a beautiful trait to have, it is not natural to have it so requires effort to develop it. It comes with a number of benefits and opens us to more opportunities.
Punctuality is also said to be the soul of business.
