Before I start I would like to explain what energy is.
Energy is an inherent property of matter ,(living and non living ) that make it able and capable of doing work or performing tasks.

Renewable energy is the type of energy source that is replenish or reproduces itself as it is being used. It is a kind that of energy that has continuous supply to us. I will talk a little about the types of renewable energy sources.

Solar energy

This is the energy emitted from the sun as a result of the burning gases in it. This energy comprises of a diverse amount of wavelengths of light energy. You will agree with me that the form of energy is readily available and doesn't have to be mined to be utilized. This kind of energy can be used to do various things not limited to supply electricity and heating of water in houses.

This is the energy gotten from water bodies , it is utilized in dams where water rushed at a very high velocity which caused movement of turbines .

Geothermal energy

This form of energy is gotten from beneath the earth , it can be found in volcanoes , lava and geyser, in my opinion it is heat energy stored in the Earth's core .

Wind energy

It is energy gotten from the movement of air . This form of energy is readily available and convert to other forms of energy using wind turbines.

Biomass

This is the energy gotten from feacal and decaying organic matter , this energy sources is also readily available like other forms of renewable energy.

Renewable energy actually benefits the environment for example solar energy because usage of this energy does not emit any by products as seen in fossil fuels which emits by products that affect us directly as seen in green house effect and depletion of the ozone layer, renewable energy sources has no inherent risks like radioactive fall outs which affects plants and animal life ,it doesn't destroy our soil structure as in mining of coal nor does it kill aquatic life as in oil spillage. It does not result in waste lands where there is dumping of wastes from the processing of non renewable energy. Renewable energy is actually ecologically friendly in that utilization of the energy does not in anyway upset the balance in our ecosystem unlike non renewable energy.

Renewable energy is actually cost effective because , it is present in everything like it's energy from natural that can be easily utilized , the cost of utilizing renew energy is not even up to half the cost of mining the non renewable energy like both in material costs, money cost and cost of human life , renewable energy is very much less expensive in those aspects .

Definitely renewable energy has the capability of creating more jobs for the country that decides to explore and exploit renewable energy sources as a source of energy for it's people. Renewable energy is found every where in nature , let me use an example , biomass , this is the energy gotten from feacal matter and decaying organic matter , people could be employed to collect this materials under hygienic condition , using protective equipments . This can provide employment for anyone because these organic matter is something that is readily available and almost everywhere. So you can agree with me that renewable energy can provide employment opportunities for individuals.

As it stands, for those of us in the tropics I am talk especially about Nigeria where I stay ,for the past month there is a rise in the environmental temperature even at night. This is most likely because of the burning of fossil fuels which emits by products of green house gases like carbon dioxide,
If renewable energy is used as an alternative source of energy then the burning of fossil fuel will be reduced to an extent where plant would be able to utilize the carbon dioxide that is trapping heat in our planet thereby reducing green house effect to the barest minimum.

So we can all see that renewable energy sources should be exploited more than the non renewable energy sources because it is very much cost effective, it is capable of generating employment ,it could improve our health and also it poses very much less harm to our ecosystem as non renewable source .
