SEC-20 Wk1: Introduction to Pattern Making Class #1
Hello guys, welcome to my blog. It's feels good to have you visit. Yeah! Am sure you want to see what have I've got for this entry and here it is... At first I thought it was pretty gonna be difficult trying this out because am a complete novice but after carefully going through the lesson, I decided to give this a shot.
A very big thanks to @lunasilver for this beautiful introductory lesson. I hope this young man who doesn't really know anything about sewing/tailoring get to impress you with his entry. Alright let's give this a shot guys!
In this section I would be indicating the measurements needed to make basic pattern for blouse and skirt. I wonder why that of a man wasn't included, I feel a bit jealous right now. Anyways a lady's blouse and skirt it is for this practical. Let's me show you practically.

According to the lesson, we were told that measurement can be approached in two ways, we have the personal approach to measure and then the industrial approach which was clearly spelt out by our teacher. Below are the imaginary measurements figures since am not a lady and I stay alone.
• Bust Height (28inches)
• Burst separation (8inches)
• Burst Circumference ( 70cm)
• Waist (26cm)
• Back Width (35cm)
• Front Width (35cm)
This is the industrial approach to measurements for blouse.
• Waist
• Bust Circumference
• Waist Circumference
• Front
• Back width
We have the measuring tape, which is the chief of the material used for this purpose, followed by a elastic for the waist measurement and then finally, a journal where you put down your measurements so you don't get to lose or forget it.

Taking this course will open me up to the world of pattern and garment making. I believe it won't be a bad idea if I make my clothes and that of my friends and family members . I also consider this as a means of livelihood. it can become another means of income for me.
So you see, there is a whole lot to benefit by learning this skill.
I have to drop my pen at this point but before I finally do, I would love to invite @drhira @josepha @m-fdo to this contest. I hope they find it pretty interesting. Gracias!
Regards
@lhorgic❤️
