What do you understand by the word Quit?

Another word for quit in my little understanding is given up. When you give up in a certain adventure you are in or struggling to achieve, it means you have quit.

So to a lay man, when you decide not to continue with the journey towards a particular goal achievement, it m and you have quit or you have given up. So in summary the synonyms for the word quit can be said to be given up.

Quiting occurs when the zeal or strength to push ahead is no longer there. When you see that achieving that goal is close to impossible then most times many people just quit for that single reason.

So quiting only takes place when the person has tried and has seen that it's not working at all or the goal is not something that is achievable real soon. Some people quit because of lack of patients and many can not persevere.

Have you ever being at the verge of quiting/giving up before? What were the challenges?

Yes, I have been at the verge of quiting or given up before this time. I remember vividly when I wrote my WAEC exams for the first, second and third time. It was a hurrible experience because I needed all my result in one piece.

I kept failing one paper each in all the exams. At some point I became very tired and I wanted to give up because the stress of registering and doing all the necessary things and also studying hard to pass was stressful.

On the fourth occasion I nearly didn't register but I was encouraged to try for just the last time and see how it goes. That was how I was able to try again and behold I became successful in the last trial.

I was almost giving up because of the many frustration I found myself in while trying to achieve that goal of mine. So that is the challenge I had and I almost quit.

How did you overcome the challenges, (practical steps would be much appreciated) and how did you feel afterward.

It was so easy overcoming the challenge but because I have the zeal and the dedication to do that, it became a success for me. What that means is that, I put in more effort in the studies after getting some encouraging words from a lot of people around.

Most of them assured me that I can make it since they too made. One of the biggest motivation I got during that period was that someone volunteered and paid my school fees. This was really mind blowing and that made me to work harder.

With the support and encouragement I know that I wasn't alone hence I decided that I won't disappoint all those who made this possible for me and at the end I ended up with praise because it worked as I have planned and prayed for.

What's your advice for those in your shoes?

My advice to those in my shoes at the moment is that they shouldn't give up no matter the situation they find themselves. If I scale through the process without quiting, they too can do the same and even more, so let them keep all hands on deck and push ahead.

I want to believe that everyone reading through my publications today will learn from my experience and push ahead until the end. You are only defeated when you quit but as far as you keep pushing, you must atttain your goal. It may not come immediately but it will surely come.
