Hello great community, today I'm happy to be part of this contest. I thank @josepha for organizing such an interesting contest on the Joy of Celebrating Labour Day. Indeed, its a contest we need to express our heart on how we feel on workers' day.

The Joy of Celebrating Labour Day

Labour day is best known as workers' day. This is the day were all labourers in the country who are working under government are being release from work to have some rest at home and equally have time to do work for themselves.

Here in Nigeria, labour day is always on 1st May. This day is regarded as workers day. Here teachers from different government schools, those working in Local Government as staff not to talk of the federal and state levels, give maximum attention and respected this day a lot. Note, this Labour day is being celebrated in over 80 countries over the globe.

This will take us straight to the main deal of the day as we read on

1.Why do workers celebrate their day?

This day is seen as a day that brings great honor and respect to workers across the world. As an employer of labour, you have to key in to understand what your workers really wished and also feel the pain which they are going through. This celebration is not limited to that alone but also for the free charity from one worker to another even from the employer of labour.

This day, many organizations give items of different kinds to people especially to the widows who had no assistance not to talk of eating good food.

This day is been celebrated to recons the promotion of workers in their working place, in different countries of the world. This include the labourer and the working class who are been promoted by the International movement which always take place on 1st may. However, sometimes it takes effects on every first Monday of May. Many countries has chosen a different date to celebrate their labour day.

This date was known for the European spring festival traditionally on 1 May. As time went on in 1889, the second international workingmen's association was established. This was done through the Socialist Congress met in Paris.

2.To your own understanding, what is the meaning of Workers' Day?

What I really understand about workers' day, is a day which workers are free from their work load. Here they are permitted to stay off from work environment on every 1 May. This day calls for celebrations of freedom from work, showing love to one another and above all, the promotions in work places.

3.Do you think we Steemians should have a special day aside to celebrate? If yes, tell us the best day and how the celebration should be done.

Every organization of value, always set aside a special day for their celebration. The reason is because whenever you celebrate, it create awareness around your dwellings and make you to get connected to new people as well as bringing new people to you.

However, i would like we the Steemians to have our celebration on every 4th July, as this day served as a remarkable day were Steemit built the first App on the Steem blockchain and this was launched on July 4, 2016.

This day should be well organized and before the 4th July, awareness about the program should already be on all social media, including the ratio and television stations.

For the start, each country should organized it at the state capital, which is the center of the country. The head of the country (The President), should be aware as permission should be granted from him for such to take place.

Here in Nigeria, i strongly believe that our government will give approval as blockchain has be approved in the country. The event should be sponsored by steemit top leaders to support every country host, and all Steemians in every country, should send their own support for the program.

4.What should we do on Workers' Day?

As workers' day is always for celebration, my suggestion would go for Steemians to celebrate and show love to people around. That day should be a day were we go out if possible in batches and on printed shirt to tell the world that there is a blockchain known as Steemit ecosystem.

In conclusion, I believe if we carryout this awareness, steemit will increase in the number of active participants and blockchain will be accepted in more countries using Nigeria as the Giant of Africa and the joy of celebrating our labour day will be of great importance to the Steemit ecosystem.
