Greetings to you all and it's a pleasure being here again. I will be going straight to the point by using the topic of discussion "CS."

How do you explain CS to a layman understanding?

Now CS means cesarean section, which can also be referred to as cesarean birth where a woman has to give birth through surgical delivery of her baby. To a layman's understanding, it is the process of giving birth to a child through the operation. This process is always used when the doctor or healthcare practitioner feels it is the safe means for the birth parent, baby, or even both of them.

Do you think CS should be a choice /right or as the situation demands?

Everyone has the mind of what he/she wants! However, on my part, CS Should be on situation demand. Here, only when the doctor sees that the birth is difficult to come through before the situation demands can come in.

I have heard a story of a certain woman who is a mother of three (3) in my community. It's not as if she was under CS situation demand but the Idea came from her husband and friends who lour the lady into CS.

However, the reason why her husband had adviced that she passed through CS it's because of maintaining and not allowing her private part to be tour during childbirth. In other words, she doesn't want her husband to look outside, hereby maintains the taste and shape for her husband.

What is your advice to that person who is refusing this process because of what people will say?

Passing through the above process is not an easy one. Therefore, my advice to those who have refused this process of childbirth because of what people will say or think are outstanding parents.

As a lady, the normal thing the Lord had kept is for women to labor during childbearing and give birth, so if you keep to these rules it's far better than going through CS. If you can labor and give birth on your first issue, the others won't be difficult.

Note; CS carries a lot of challenges anything can happen to the woman, baby and even both can lose their lives! CS is only advisable when situation demands come in by the doctor.

Will you support your sister, or wife in choosing CS in case of any emergency during childbirth? Or you allow her to wait until the due time.

If it's not up to 9 months, I will advise her to wait till the due date but if it's already time and she has been under labor for over 48 hours and the doctor gave a situation report to CS, we can now follow the directives of the doctor.

Conclusion

In my view, CS has helped many mothers to live but the limitation is you won't give birth to more than 3 or 4 children.

I personally don't like CS. We are 8 in number and none of us passed through CS. Therefore, once you are pregnant, you should be doing the following items:

• Drink a lot of water
• Take time to sleep/rest
• Do some exercise
• Check your blood level and make sure you have the expected level that will carry you during childbirth as stated by your doctor.
• Go for scan to know the sex of the baby, the exact date for delivery, and the positioning of the baby in the womb.

When you have all this in place, you won't have any worries as a pregnant woman.
