You have written well concerning the settlement of the misunderstanding. It's true that when two parties are having misunderstandings there should be a mediator to settle them but in the case of marriage, I don't advise that both parties should take their challenge outside not even to family members.

This is because if you as the husband discuss the issue to your family, your family might develop some hatred for your wife likewise the wife.
