My Neighborhood Watch #62 - Reporting Events Around us

It's another week of reporting events around us. As we all know, events are daily and we are committed to reporting the most interesting ones to the world at Large.

Today I'll be reporting the photographer's celebration of 2024.

Tell us about those life events/Activities happening in your neighborhood.

Photographer's Association Ikom branch

This is Ikom/Etung Photographer's Association Ikom, Cross River State. It's always a thing of celebration when it comes to every 19th day of August of the year. This day is set aside for the World Photography Day celebration.

Those of us here in Ikom normally celebrate ours in a big way but this year due to the economic challenges, our chairman had encouraged the union that we should not go on the street so that they wouldn't tag it as "Protest"

One thing I realized even when the rain was disturbing so much, members still came in numbers. As you can see members were happy 😊 for the celebration.

The chairman gave room for people to make speeches and their opinions for next year's celebration. Individuals had encouraged the union to be happy because we are all healthy and trusting God that in 2025, we'll celebrate in a big way.

As the celebration was going on, members were asked what they wished to drink and all took their orders and they were all served.

However, the celebration ended with great joy and members were encouraged to take their work seriously because of our economic state.
