Hello!,
Good evening to all steemians here in Steem4nigeria community. I truly believe we all had a wonderful day with fulfillment.
I'm here to participate on a contest Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC)| S12W5- "My Skill Takes Me Up" organized and published by @steem4nigeria.
Nowadays skill has become the main source that generate income for most individuals to survive, skill is very important for professional success, problem-solving and innovation. It is the basic source for achieving good in various aspects of life.
Let's answer some questions below...
In my opinion , a skill is said to be a learned ability which allows a person to perform a specific task or activity effectively as an expert.
This includes combinations of knowledge aquired through learning, practice along side with experience, enabling the ability to demonstrate competence and achieving individuals craving outcomes in a particular area.
They are various skills in which one can choose to learn, such as fashion designing, business skill,programming, playing of musical instrument, plumbing, carpentry and a lot of them. To get a skill one need is not something one will just wake up start, but over time through continuous learning and practical this can be accomplished.
In my countryNigeria, having skills it is not just necessary but compulsory to have a skill for daily survival. My reason for saying this is primarily base on our poor economic situation.
Besides Nigeria is a highly populated country with large number of citizen seeking for employment opportunities. This population therefore makes job opportunities is highly competitive.
Some of the the resourceful Skill in Nigeria includes.
- Agriculture and Farming.
- Telecommunications.
+Construction and Engineering.
- Entrepreneurship and Business Management.
- Real Estate.
- Food and entertainment shopes
All this are resourceful and lucrative skills and business in Nigeria, though to venture into some might require a huge amount of money or less. Therefore is is advisable to go into the some we can afford and work smart to achieve.
I do wish to learn programming and software configuration, though I already skilled as a computer hardware technician, but I always wish to add up my skill with programming.
I always feel that I can only fulfill my dreams by creating softwares and applications that will solve some human problems.

Having a skill is is very beneficial with a lot of advantages in many aspects of our life, It provides one with a competitive edge, increases self employability, and improve personal growth and development.

Hola amigo por lo que dices creo que Nigeria es muy parecido a Venezuela aunque no estamos sobrepoblado porque se ha marchado mas de el 40%de la población. Si está muy difícil la situación cada día cuesta más poder llevar comida a nuestras casas no basta con tener un solo trabajo hay que aplicar muchas habilidades que bueno que quieras aprender de informatica prácticamente es lo que está moviendo el mundo actualmente. Suerte en el concurso.

Yeah, programing is really a good and nice skill to learn, you don't really have to stress yourself too much, you can easily work from your home as far as you have a good network connection and good computer or laptop

Note:
I love your choice of skill you want to learn. I would've loved to learn programming, but the tuition fee is to much to afford independently.
I tried learning programing at some point but git discouraged after the continuous trials and failings, maybe I'll go back to it soon to try and pick up from where I left off.
I also wish to learn programming in the nearest future considering the fact that it yields a huge amount of income and it becomes easy when you get to learn it very well.
