INTRODUCTION

Hello!,
Good morning to all steem4nigeria family, I believe we all had a good night rest waking brightly to chase our goals effortless. It's a pleasure using to opportunity to participate again on a contest "Growing up in a Rural or Urban Area" organized and published by @steem4nigeria the office account.

It is true that people grow up in both rural and urban areas. This depends on various reasons like, their family's occupation, personal preferences and economic/financial status. Some people may grow up in a rural area and later moved to an urban area for education reason or job opportunities while others may have grown up in an urban environment and later moved to a rural area.

Let's check out the difference between urban and rural, the area I grew up and the advantages over the other.
Read below...

Differentiate between urban and rural areas stating three major features
Urban Area

1.Population: Urban areas are always know to have high population density, with a large number of people living.

2.Good Infrastructure: Urban areas have well developed infrastructure which includes roads, transportation systems and public services. Amenities such as shopping centers, hospitals, schools, and recreational environment is also a big advantage.

3.Economic Flow: Urban areas are always know to have a diverse range of industries, businesses and job opportunities.

Rural Areas

1.Population: some rural areas do have low population density and fewer people living, the population is most time scattered across villages and small towns.

2.Natural environment: Rural areas have advantage of natural and agricultural landscape, they are left with open spaces for farmland and natural resources.

3.Lifestyle and community: Rural areas are sometimes rate to have a slower lifestyle due to the fact that, people living there have a stronger connection to nature and take part in agricultural and traditional lifestyle. Also, Access to social amenities do limit compared to urban areas or metropolis environment.

Which area did you grow up and why?

Precisely, I grew up in a rural. Just as I stated earlier growing up in either rural or urban are this depends on different reasons e.g family occupation, personal preferences and economic/financial status.

It's due to my parents personal preference and occupation.

If you were told to go to the area you didn't grow up from, will you?

Yes, I did.
I learnt that being in a new environment allows one to see things from a different angle and perspective. It helps break free from our pattern leading to new ideas, insights and creativity.
There are some advantages urban have over rural areas, e.g talking of better job opportunities and access to good education was my main reason.

What things are there in the area you grew up from that aren't in the other?

Like I said rural areas have advantages of natural and agricultural which urban doesn't.
Growing up in rural area, enjoy a lot natural resources.

Streams provide a natural and serene environment compared to the man made setting called "swimming pool" which are often found in urban environment. Being surrounded by trees and rocks hinder the experience and makes it more enjoyable. Streams are always fresh and free from chemicals which may cause harm to haman system

large agricultural landscape is one of the biggest advantage, they are open spaces for farmlands in rural environment. When I was in the village I don't use to buy most food stuffs like garri, palm oil, water leaves, pepper, and some fruits as all the listed is being produced there.

Building in rural area, can to be easy and less expensive as most of the materials are found close and free to use such as sand, graphites and woods for furniture.

In conclusion, there's no need criticizing the environment individual chooses to adopt, as it base on preference and occupational reason. It's also important to note that both has advantages and disadvantages.

I will love to invite @ngoenyi, @bossj23 and @fortwis09 to participate in this wonderful contest.

Hello @jozzie90, very important your conclusion, each area has its advantages and disadvantages which is very true.

In my case all my life I have lived in an urban area, however, in holiday seasons, I loved to enjoy the nature that the rural area offers, cleaner air and spectacular scenery.

In the city, it is very true, there are advantages in terms of self-improvement, but it is something that is also achieved in rural areas.

Greetings and success.

Indeed the two regions are beautiful and significantly unique in their own way. The advantages and disadvantages of each makes it had to actually pick one.

So I guess we should just enjoy the merits of each whenever we get a chance to visit. Just as you said a new environment helps you to see things from a different perspective. All the best @jozzie90.
