Why do workers celebrate their day?

In the year 1886, the United States commenced and choose 1st May as the day of labor and federation. Workers day is a day to celebrate and honor the hard work and good services rendered by the Nigerian workforce. In Nigeria, It is a national holiday whereby all Nigerians workers is celebrated and dedicated. 1st May is a day set aside to celebrate and congratulate the achievement of workers around the world. Labour day is been celebrated by over 80 different countries in the world. Labour day is also known as Workers day.

To your own understanding, what is the meaning of Workers' Day?

In my own words and understanding, I would say that labour's day is a day whereby all workers across the world are celebrated. It is an International worker's day because it is celebrated across the world. Labour was first celebrated in 1886. Today, majority of countries around the world celebrate workers day on 1st of May. On this day, workers are recongized with their achievement is being seen and known all around the world.

Do you think we Steemians should have a special day aside to celebrate?

Yes of course. We steemians should at least bring out a day for celebration. Let me say, maybe 1st of November should be our day to celebrate and we will also get to know and see each other. At least, every first of November we will celebrate, merry, and honor each other. So, what am I saying, we should have a day to call our day as a very big, great and profitable platform.

What should we do on Workers' Day?

Workers day is a day of fun and merriment. Nothing is more sweeter than having fun. On that day, you can go for an outdoor celebration, a picnic, party and other interesting places for fun. This day is a day-off for workers and hereby brings rememberance of those who fought for worker's rights. It's good to be celebrated with friends, people, family, relatives and co-workers.
