iTeach Contest: How to Use Excel to Calculate

Friends, I welcome you to my iTeach post. This is the first post that I am posting about the iTeach Contest, which is usually organized by @fredquantum. In this post, I want to teach you how to calculate data using Microsoft Excel.
The fact is that Excel functions and formulas are crucial for both executing and accounting tasks. For instance, after entering all the budget information that you need, you could want to know the overall cost of what you needed by applying an Excel formula, which you're going to know how to calculate. Having said that, let's take a look at what an Excel formula and function are.
| What is an Excel formula? |

Excel formulas are simply an expression that operates on values that are in a range of cell addresses. If you open Excel, you will see CellA, CellB, CellC, and so on. Now talking about the Excel formulas, let's say, for example, that you have typed in some figures in cell A1, cell A2, and cell A3, and you want to find the sum of the range of values by using the multiplication sign.
Let's take a look at the example below.

In order for us to calculate the total amount that can be used to buy the quantities of each of the items above, we will use the arithmetic operator multiplication, which is (*), to multiply the both values that are in cells B2 and C2, cell B3 and C4 addresses, and so on.
Now open your Excel file and type in the data just as I have typed it in my mind above.
After you have typed in your data, place your pointer in cell D2 and type =B2 * C2, press the "enter" key, and you will get the following result: 14,000.
As you can see, friend, we have calculated the value that is in cell B3 and cell C3. You can use the same method to calculate the rest.

As is common knowledge, a "function" is a formula that produces particular values. In Excel, a "function" is a formula, which is also referred to as a "predefined formula," used to calculate certain variables in a predetermined order. The definition makes clear that a function in Excel is used to determine things like the sum total, average, count, minimum, and maximum values for a range of cell addresses.
SUM: This refers to adding up a set of numbers that you want to add up.
In this case, let's use the example that we have previously used and calculate the total amount.
In order to calculate the total amount of the budget above, all you need to do is apply this function: =SUM (D2:D5).
Now, place your pointer at cell D6, type in =SUM (D2:D5), and press Enter.
