My Neighborhood Watch #45 - Reporting Events Around us
Hello friends of steem4Nigeria, I hope we had a great day. I had an amazing day today. Is it because it is the Lord's Day or because it was Love's day? Well let's find out in today's Neighborhood watch.
The Lord's Day is a special day where we go to give God praise, worship and pray to God. But today was a splendid day as we had to witness Love on the Lord's Day.
The full church today.
I went to church today quite very early and tried to put things in order in church, like arranging the church, helping to decorate the church and setting the sound instrument.
I was thinking of how the day will go because we had a wedding ceremony later today.
Service started by 8:30 as we praised God, read the word and listen to the preacher. But there was more joy in the house when a young man was seen outside the church surrounding. Oh yes! That is brother Paul, said one of the women sitting close to me. And we have been expecting brother Paul for some hours now but he didn't arrive earlier. Now brother Paul looked different today, he had a stunning look that could be seen by everyone.
We were all struck by this handsome young man who was adorned in a navy blue suit and a red tie. I could tell that the colour combination was lovely to behold. His wife to be arrived too and they both walked into the church one after the other, with soft music on the background.
With so much joy on their faces, their smiles unleashed their dentition so widely. The joy on everyone's faces as they walked in.
They were welcomed with a resounding clap by the audience and asked to sit.
The necessary doctrinal events were done and preaching went on for 30 minutes and the main activity commenced.
The Wedding Proper
The pastor whose gaze was upon the groom and the bride asked them to walk forward to the altar they did. With a sense of quietness in the church, they bride and the groom were asked to face each other. It looked like the once joy on the faces were removed, they now looked like they were in the military barracks. Well they were ready for something very serious.
They exchanged their vows with each other...oh how lovely seeing two young couples saying how much they love each other and want to be with each other forever.
The beautiful ring
It was exciting and fun to see them kiss each other after inserting the ring on their fingers. A quick look at their ring and I knew that just like the ring, their love had no end. They kiss passionately, as they were pronounced husband and wife. I was truly excited for them and wish them the best in their marriage.
The beautiful couples were prayed for by the minsters of the gospel and thereafter, they signed their marriage certificate.
They danced and danced with each other for a long time and it was time to take pictures. Everyone had their turn to take pictures with the groom and bride. I took pictures with them too.
The Reception
A wedding ceremony without food is incomplete in Nigeria. The guest were treated to a nice cuisine. I was busy and couldn't get a chance to take pictures.
But the wedding ceremony was an incredible one. The newest couple were gifted a lot of things. We had a great time with them and we enjoyed ourselves.
This is how my neighborhood watch was..I enjoyed both the Lord's Day and Lovers' day simultaneously. I hope to give us more update about my neighbourhood in the coming weeks.
