My City My Pride - My City's Uniqueness.

Hello everyone at @steem4Nigeria, I am glad to show forth the uniqueness of my city in this contest. And will be looking forward to see other cities too, who knows, I would want to see a different culture and place because of this contest.
Cities are different and unique in their own kind of way. Every city is embedded with rich values and histories to dish out. I will also be showing us the rich way of life of my city and the beauty in it. Stay tuned...

I live in the city of Uyo. It is the capital city of Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria. It is a lovely city that accepts people from different tribes. It is a developing city but it sure has its uniqueness and beauty.
Uyo can be seen in the North eastern part of Akwa Ibom state. While Akwa Ibom state is in the southern part of Nigeria being bounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the south.

There are a lot of things that separates Uyo from other cities, but I will highlight the ones that are my favourites.
Uyo is known to be a unique city, and it stands out because of the following:
1. Cleanliness and Ambience:
The very first thing that is noticeable when one enters the city of Uyo, is the ambience, greenery and cleanliness that comes from the fresh air within the city. The city is known to be one of the clieaniest in Nigeria
With a good network of roads and green plants everywhere, the city of Uyo makes you feel at home with nature. This exact place, is the unity park which is known as the Christmas village. It is a park that allows one to enjoy fresh air and meditate also. The Akwa Ibom state House of assembly and also the new 21 storey building is just a stone throw from there.

2. Food and Hospitality:
One lovely thing that distinguishes this city from others, is its delicacies. Uyo is a home to wide varieties of food like Afang, Edikan ikong, Editan, Afia efere and Atama. These are sought after stews/soups and it can be seen in the city of Uyo.
We also deliver the best grilled chicken which can be served with plantain. Your taste buds will always be satisfied. Guest are not only happy with the food alone but also the hospitality that the city brims.

3. A Good Network:
Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, boast of a good network of roads, which makes life stress free and easier. It gives its inhabitants a peculiar kind of peace that can't be easily found in other cities.

Yes, there have been huge changes in the cleanliness and Ambience of the city. The city is adding more to is hospitality and food with different delicacies and mode of hospitality emancipating due to discoveries and new taste.
The road network too is getting better.
What are those major solid/mineral resources it is known for? |

The major mineral that is found in this city and its outskirts is Oil and gas. Though little is explored in the inner city of Uyo. We have other solid minerals like clay, lead, zinc etc. Which makes Akwa Ibom more unique.
Akwa Ibom state is one of the highest producers of petroleum in Nigeria and this shows how unique the city can be.

Yes the city is benefiting much from its unique status. The road network has brought good businesses to the state. The food and hospitality has brought good fortunes to the state too. A lot of people want to taste the Akwa Ibom delicacies.
The cleanliness has added more to the development of the city.
