Nagging in a relationship
A warm greetings and welcome to my fellow steemians around the world, how are you all doing today hope you all are enjoying the beautiful moments June brings to us as for me I do, by the way I'm john from Nigeria it's my pleasure having you in this amazing contest "Nagging in a Relationship!" Organized by @ninapenda here in #Steem4nigeria, I decided to take part in this contest share my views with you guys and as well bring out the best in me when it comes to creativity in contest like this.
Before proceeding to the contest hints and Questions I will like us to know the meaning and explanation of nagging as the contest stated above, According to Cambridge English dictionary which defines Nagging as the process to criticize or complain often in an annoying way, especially in order to make someone do something e.g my Mom's always nagging me to get my hair cut.
Having Known the meaning of nagging as we explained above, now we will be talking about nagging in a relationship.. which means the process of always complaining, quarreling and finding faults on whatever your partner do as well as forcing one to do or avoid certain task or behavior in a relationship
How do you deal with nagging in a relationship?
There ways or measures we can take to eradicate and deal with nagging in a relationship which are....
Be mindful with what you say and do during quarrel or argument with your partner, nagging in a relationship is mostly fueled by abusive and provocative words note that now.
try to put your self in your partners shoes, that is to say listen and understand your partner condition or fault don't always judge to fast and too easily and don't jump into conclusion without hearing properly from your partner.
during quarrel or arguments with your partner try to identify the cause of the quarrel or argument so that finding a solution to the issue at hand will be easier .
try to control your anger or hot temper whatever we calls it, controlling it is the main focus to avoid fight and further damage that will land you into regrets after everything.
another thing here is the way you reapond to each other, bad and arrogant response leads to nagging in a relationship so try to avoid that as well.
Do you agree that nagging comes only from women and not from men? Or from both?
If someone says nagging comes from women only and not men i totally disagree with that, because these day nagging mostly comes for the men like the abuse and brutality they lay on their wifes or girlfriends most a times even got to the extent of accusing and calling their wife cheat which they know that they are the ones who wins the trophy when it comes to cheating and fornication what am trying to say women don't only cause or brings about nagging into a relationship or marriage but the men also do as well.
Does nagging and complaining mean the same thing? Explain
Nagging as we earlier defines it says it is the process to criticize or complain often in an annoying way, especially in order to try and make someone do something.
While complaining is defined by oxford dictionary as the expression of dissatisfaction or annoyance about something.
For me I will say they mean thesame because according to the definition given above they both expresses dissatisfactions to annoyance.
Do you think building a better communication skill in a relationship can help stop nagging?
Yes of course, good and better communication skills is very essential for building up a relationship, just like having the ability to mind what you say when your partner is angry or sad, also to apologize politely when you are wrong this builds and strengthens relationship and be mindful with what you say this is another aspect of communication skills because some people don't know how to utter words properly instead ends up provoking and making their partners more upset while try to apologize .
