Introduction

The tendency to worry is one thing that is common in us all. There are certain events around us that we cannot control, as this events draw closer and become pivotal in our life’s course, we become drawn to that stage of worrisome. We feel helpless and powerless during this stage and it can adversely affect our life and productivity in other areas of our life. Yet, at the end of the day, the worrying will not solve any problem and in some cases, the reverse is the case as it will lead to other problems.

Does worry solve problems? If yes, why? If no, why?

No. worry does not solve problems explicitly.

The reason worrying does not solve problems is that sometimes, worrying leads to panicking and when people panic, it becomes difficult to think straight and systematically. And when a person loses the ability to think and act intelligently due to worry, they are likely to make a bad decision that will lead to further problems. This is why some peoples’ worry gets worse after a while because the more they worry, the more bad choices they make that results in more worries and the loop continues.

Highlight 3 causes of worrying and 3 consequences of worrying?

Causes of worrying

Fear of the future

Most people worry about their future. This fear becomes more serious when they are faced with difficult and challenging situations and during this tough times, they tend to project themselves into the future with the mindset and of that challenge.

Fear of the Economy
For people in an unstable economy, the state of things can also lead to fear and panicking, when people think about their source of income and the growing price of commodities, they fear for themselves and how they will be able to take care of themselves and possible their family in the future if the economy keeps getting out of hand.

Fear of changes
Some people are so comfortable with their fixed routine and ‘budgeted’ life that whenever they expect a change in their comfortable routine, they become worried about how such change will affect their comfort.

Consequences

Worrying has many dire consequences, which includes but not limited to:

Losing peace of mind
When people worry, they are not at peace with themselves or their environment. Sometimes this leads to loss of sleep as sleep requires peace. This could also lead to psychological breakdown in some people as they cannot think straight during worrying stage.

Loss of appetite
Another danger of worrying of worrying is that it leads to loss of appetite in some people as they are not really interested in anything as at that moment. After a while, this could lead to emaciation.

Loss of concentration
For most people, (me especially) it is very hard to concentrate if there is something worrying me. I find it hard to do anything that requires internal motivation. Things like studying or anything that involves personal growth.

State 4 solutions to avoid worrying too much

Avoid too much news.

Plan ahead.

Don’t worry about perfection.

Live in the moment.

Conclusion

It is good to be concern about the state of things, it shows responsibility and matureness. However, we should not allow ourselves to be bothered by situations or events we have little or no control over. We should figure out and do the best in every situation, and leave the rest!

I invite you @allison001 @crystal247 @kidi40 @bossj23 to participate in this great contest.
