Oh wow @okere-blessing what a tragic story about Julie!!!! Equally sad how she sacrificed so much and still got short changed by that man.

Some people are just so inherently selfish! I have a friend who also had something similar happen to her. Ok, she did not commit suicide and is happily married again now... but her husband at the time convinced her to sell everything here in South Africa too... house, car, everything and she went to meet him in the UK.

When she got there, he acted all normal and then that night they stayed at some place with friends of his which she did not know. In the morning, when she woke up - he was gone and so was all her stuff and her money. He ROBBED his own wife - and they had been married for something like 10 years believe it or not... it was so crazy!

All alone in a strange country and then to have all your stuff taken and lose your husband at the same time... the one person who was supposed to love and protect you.

People are something else sometimes!
