Hello friends do you know that Nigeria is not just a big country, but a country where you will get to see surplus mineral resources?

Nigeria is the name of my country. Nigeria is known as the giant of Africa for having a strong military force. It is a country that gained its independence in 1960 and became a republic in the year 1963.
Before Nigeria gained her independence it was formally under control by the British which Fredrick Lord Lugard was the head then in 1914.
Ever since Nigeria gained her independence and became a republic country, the country has experienced different leadership of both military and civilian government which at present the president of Nigeria is BOLA AMEH TINUBU who was sworn in May 2023.
What is/are the mineral resources your country is blessed with
In terms of mineral resources Nigeria is blessed with many of them which I can't finish to name or talk about in this post other than the ones I have shared here.

One good thing about Nigeria is that in every one of the 36 states in the country that you would visit you will get to see different mineral resources which are to tell you that Nigeria is a country that is blessed with a surplus of resources some of which are:
- Petroleum/Natural Gas
- Coal
- Iron Ore
- Bitumen
- Gold
- Gypsum
- Bentonite And Baryte
- Limestone etc.
Has these mineral resources been fully harnessed
Yes, these mineral resources have been fully harnessed and petroleum/natural gas, limestone, and gold are the ones the Nigerian government is mainly concerned with.
Mineral resources like Petroleum/natural gas, gold, and limestone are the once that are majorly exported out to other countries which in return generate more revenue into the country account.
However, due to how corrupt things have become in Nigeria even with these mineral resources we are blessed with, Nigerians are still buying petroleum/gas at a very high price because of mismanagement and corruption in the country.
Has the proceeds from these resources been used properly by your government for the welfare of her citizens...support your answer (Yes/No) with good points.
Yes, the proceeds from these resources have been used properly by the Nigerian government for the welfare of its citizens in building hospitals, schools, markets, and roads and supporting Nigerians in many ways.
However, I am not sure if 80% of the proceeds from these resources have been properly used by the government for the welfare of her citizens because of how corrupt the country is. The country has taken every sector in Nigeria which has made things not work right there by taking the country backward.

The abundance of mineral resources in the Nigeria, which include petroleum, coal, iron ore, and also gold in its economy also suggests a great economic potential. Nevertheless, the existing cases of mismanagement and corruption hinder the optimized and equal distribution of proceeds. However, Nigeria's vast endowments remain good for the development if transparency is observed and the citizens welfare is at the core of everything.

Nigeria is a good country blessed by God the problem is our leaders. Miss using our mineral resources which is supposed to use to take care of the citizens.
I just pray that God will bring a good leader that will deliver us from the hands of bad government.
