Neighborhood Watch #3 - Reporting Events Around us

Greetings to every member of the @steem4nigeria community. It is yet another opportunity to bring you the latest happenings in my locality. Before I proceed with the news, I do love to appreciate @xkool for organizing this weekly contest.

As I always mention, as long as we live, things must continue happening in our environment because our existence gives rise to many things. It could either be good or bad but something must just happen. In recent weeks, I brought you news concerning fuel subsidies and also the conflict between two women. Today, the news is about the current governor of Taraba state.

The people of Taraba state have mourned for 8 years under the administration of its former governor (Darius Ishaku), as the state has not experienced any development. During his time in office, below are some of the problems experienced by Tarabians.

1. Lack of roads and other facilities.
2. Increase in school fees.
3. Insecurity
4. Lack of subsequent salary.
5. Dept

The state has endured what we call hardship for the last 8 years. Tarabians have cried, mourned, and have been praying for change. As things will always be, whatever has a beginning always has an end and that's exactly what happened to Darius Ishaku. His time in office is now over. Nevertheless, the good news is that the current governor is putting a smile on the face of Tarabians. Everyone is happy and comfortable with how the affairs of the state are being carried out.

The greatest thing that the current governor has done so far is render free education to all its citizens. As a primary or secondary school student, you don't need to think about school fees anymore as the government has taken full responsibility for that.

More to that, during the time of Darius Ishaku, the state university has always been on strike due to a lack of lectures salaries, and other facilities needed to run the affairs of the school. But today the story has changed. All students and lecturers are now happy with all the provisions that the current government has provided. We don't longer hear about strikes or insecurity anymore.

The hottest and the latest news is, the state university school fees have been reduced by 50%. What a joy given to both students and parents. Before now, students were paying #110,000 per session but, it has been reduced to #55,000. Could they be anything that can be done to students more than this? Now everyone in the state is wishing the governor long life and additional 4 years in office after this regime.

In conclusion, the people of Taraba have suffered a lot under the government of Darius Ishaku. But God has answered the cries of his people by sending a savior in the person of Dr. Agbu Kefas.
