Though it is spring there is intermittent heavy to light rain for last few days. There is colour in the air as yesterday was Holy festival.

Many people celebrated the festival in their own way and believe.

Some people enjoyed the mutton feast. They queued up in front of meat shop. Meat price was between ₹800-850 per kg.

This status is called Jugalbandi as Radha snd Krishna are seen together. they are symbol of love and sacrifice. Devotee will return to the temple after walk and whole day the will sing devotional songs with music. Finally they will have the prasad bhog. I thought of going to another temple called Birla Temple inside a Milk Dairy complex.

On the way I found a sweet shop selling Dhakai Parata. Probably it was not available in Kolkata before independence. It has arrived with people migrated from Dhaka to Kolkata after partition of Bengal.

I have noticed the shop for many a days but I didn't try because I avoid outside fried food. But yesterday I felt hungry so I tried one. It was heavy and tasteless. I consumed it with difficulty. It was about one Steem per piece.

I reached the temple premises. I have seen it before but i had not opportunity to see the statue inside the temple. Today being the temple was open. So I could see the Bigraha of Lord Krishna with his favourite childhood playmate cow. He is also called Gopal as he appears like a boy.

Thank you for reading the post.

That's amazing. Even though you've seen the temple before, you hadn't had the opportunity to see the statue inside. But today was your lucky day because the temple was open.

Inside the temple, you were able to witness the Bigraha of Lord Krishna, along with his beloved childhood playmate, the cow. It must have been a beautiful sight to see! It's fascinating how Lord Krishna is also known as Gopal because he appears like a boy.

I'm so glad you had the chance to experience this and witness the beauty of the temple and the statue. It's moments like these that can bring a sense of peace and joy. Cherish this memory and continue to explore and learn about different cultures and their unique traditions.
