It's always exciting to make post in a community like Steem4Nigeria. Before I start I would like to invite two fellow Steemians @yakspeace @paholags to participate the contest.
I'm glad to inform that a movie shooting took place in our locality. In the park, a set was created as real. A pandal was made for Durga idol worship. A meri go round was installed. Many food stalls opened. Houses were decorated with miniature lights just like actual Durga puja days. There were lots of generator vans for supply of power. Very famous Star came from Mumbai also. The program started at 9 AM and continued till 10:30 PM. There were lunch break and tea break.
There was weekly closure of Shop. Many shops sold goods like saree at huge discount in front of their shop.
Local NGO distributed educational stationary like excercise books, pencils, eraser, to poor students of primary schools. Children were given snaks. The function started at 10:30 AM and continued upto 2 PM.
On the eve of on shab-e-barat many Muslim came to pay their homage to ancestors at the Soloana Burial ground. It continued for more than 24 hours.
Joka Esplanade Metro will soon extended upto Majerhat Metro Station covering 6 Km only. The platform is ready for arrival and departure of recks. A trial run has been also taken. It is expected to start commercially in Apri 2024.
I also visited St Ignatius Church very old church of Kolkata located at Ekbalpur. Here service are held regularly. As well as visited Garg acha Mosque at Gaji para. It is a beautiful mosque in the surrounding of Hindus.
For the forthcoming Shivratri festival the temple is renovated with marble flooring.
As per the Hindu mythology It is believed that what ever boon women pray to God Shiva, he fulfill the desires
and expections on that night. So women take fasting on the day and stay awake for whole night to pray lord Shiva singing devotional songs.
