Life Lessons Learned
Hello friends...
I welcome you all to my blog, I'm so delighted also to participate on this contest titled: "Life lessons learned" organized by @sahmie in @Steem4Nigeria community.
What's a tough situation you've been through, and what did you learn from it?
Loosing my father at 7 was the toughest situation I've ever been through in life the pain and sorrow cannot be forgotten till death, and not just losing him but no pictures for memories or remembrance, coz right now I don't know how he looks due to children memories everything has wiped off.
What I get to learn is that having a family group photos, or even individual pictures, kept or saved for future references is well recommended, and not just a mere pictures but should be a remarkable pictures, coz the memories would take time before it deminish in your children's life or family members heart.
What's a piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?
To my younger self @ibraheem75 try and create good and atmospheric time for your children, let them know you with these or that, as a memories, nothing I could remember my father with except I was told he was a great farmer but right now I happened to be a lazy farmer😂, surely I will create time for my wife and children an atmospheric environment that they'll cheerish till death that's what I intend to do once I got married and have children oneday.
What's the most important lesson you've learned and how has the lesson changed you?
When I lose my father at such a tender age, life was unbearable, I grew up without a father figure though I have a mother but still something is missing.
So I started to be a Man for myself carter for myself, my mom and siblings, his demise make me to think like a Man not longer a child, I could remember back then in the village, at that it was grass roofing that we were using so anytime rain was falling there was hole that used to leak at the top of the roofing, so I had to look for grasses to cover the place, that's number one role I took as a child which I remember vividly, continuesly I kept playing my role as a father and husband to my mom till now.
The situations has indeed transformed me positively to the person I am today, an independent person, and it makes me stronger, the situations did not make me looked timid but stronger to stand for my family, that was the significant changes.
What mistake taught you the most and what's the best lesson you've ever gotten?
The mistake that I did was, I wanted to live recklessly like I don't care, like I've been wounded big time, so live anyhow you want without purpose, but along the line I've come to realize, that would not help to quench the pain that always hit me hard each time I realized my father was not longer alive and I don't want to add more pain, sorrow and regrets to my mother for giving birth to me, and then I decided to be good and live upright for my mother, my siblings and to the Almighty creator, that's the great lessons that I've gotten that changed me for good.
Thanks for reading through my, I'm inviting @josepha, @dave-hanny, @suboohi and @goodybest for the contest.
