Hello friends I trust by God's Grace you all are having a happy and fruitful weekend! It's with heart full of joy I write here once again and today I will educate us on a very important topic which is voting CSI.

While working in the communities I'm moderating on, I observed that many people doesn't used to support follow users, oh you may wonder how I gets to know, yes it's through their Voting CSI it was zero and some was below 5%. So in this article I will explain what voting CSI is, where you can find it because all users get it, and why it is important we increase our voting CSI. So stay tune!

VOTING CSI (Community Support Index)

As we all know Steemit is a social media blogging platform that is built on steem blockchain, the term social media implies engagement meaning we should always try and Engage with other users by voting and commenting on their posts.

Voting CSI: is a tool which shows how a Steemit user is distributing his/her votes during a week period. The tool can be found in steemworld page.

It's very important that we support one another, Don't feel reluctant to vote others even when you have small Steem Power. Form a habit of clicking the small green button below each post you read and like, it means upvoting.

Upvoting others even when you have limited Steem Power will help you to form the good habit of supporting others even when you have enough Steempower.

How OFTEN SHOULD WE VOTE?

As we're always advice by our amiable Steemcurator01, you can start by setting a goal of upvoting at least 10 different author posts every day. Read through their contents, make sure that it's not plagiarized and that it's steemexclusive also the author is not buying vote and at least support #club5050, then you can go ahead and click that green button 🔘

Another thing I've observed is that some users have the habit of upvoting themselves, to the point of reaching 14% it's very wrong, use your power to support others this is how the system was designed. Well I know in some instances it's not a willful act, example is if you follow a particular curation trail, and the trail is being used to vote your post, you will automatically upvote yourself too, but the truth is the percentage of self vote should not be too high.

YOUR VOTING CSI SHOULD NOT GO BELOW 5%:

The level of your support to others is measured by Percentage, so your voting CSI should not go below 5% if it does it's speaking bad of you that you're not supportive.

As I said before you can increase your voting CSI by making it an aim to upvote at least 10 posts from different users each day, or if you're a busy type follow an active curation trail, it will Do the voting job for you.

What Is A Curation Trail?: Is when you decide a third party application to automatically cast vote for you, users can vote same post or comments automatically at the same time. You can do this by following the votes of a particular user or a community account who is good at curating quality contents. So when you have others automatically voting the same post they do, those users who automatically vote after them are called curation trail

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT YOU INCREASE YOUR VOTING CSI?:
  • it shows that you're supporting follow users, and as the sayings goes "givers never never lack" as you support others you will likely be supported.

  • in the upcoming Steemit engagement challenge contest which will start tomorrow, one of the criteria MODs from some Communities will check is voting CSI so it's important you start supporting others now.

  • some communities curators used to check users voting CSI before they give you support, yes they want to know if you are supportive, so if you're voting CSI is below 5% they won't give you support.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR VOTING CSI:

https://steemworld.org/@yourusername

Example is mine below 👇

https://steemworld.org/@goodybest

  • under stats scroll down a bit you will see voting CSI

Screenshot_20220605-180139.png

  • you can see my voting CSI is above 12%, showing that I used to support others.

  • the bracket indicated how a user distributed his/her upvote.

  • the first value in the bracket shows the percentage value of self vote.

Screenshot_20220605-180049.png

  • as you can see mine is zero percent. As I said before it's wrong to upvote oneself if it happens due to unavoidable circumstances then it shouldn't be more than 5%.

  • the next value is the number of upvotes I gave during the week which is 100

Screenshot_20220605-180243.png

  • the last one is the figure of account I upvoted during the week which is 67.

I will say my voting CSI is a good one but you know there's always room for improvement, soil will.

I would love to know your voting CSI at the comment section

CONCLUSIONS:
  • It's pertinent that we always support our follow users through voting and commenting

  • we should support only quality contents
Thanks for reading through I hope you find this post useful.

You're doing great 👍 keep it up with the good work, the self vote percentage is not bad at all. Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing your voting CSI

You are welcome

Support to one another on this ecosystem is very necessary, i try to keep my CSI above 10% or more. Thanks for the enlightenment, now i know self votes is not so good.
