My Neighborhood Watch #21 Reporting Event's Around Us

Hello again, sharing the reality of my life, my area, and my country. I hope you're all well and in good health, which is the most important thing. Here's my presentation.

The situation in Argentina is getting worse every day. Salaries have plummeted dramatically. With just one salary, it's possible to buy rice, which has risen from 60 to 1200 pesos; bread, which used to cost 50, now costs 1200; meat, which used to be 80, has skyrocketed to 5000. Car tires, which used to cost 10,000, are now selling for 60,000. The average salary is 120,000, which barely covers the cost of two tires.

Even polenta has increased from 30 to 900 pesos. Inflation is wreaking havoc on everything. Manufacturing a car engine costs 3 million Argentine pesos, leaving many cars abandoned. Public transportation is overcrowded, and for a week, it was impossible to find gasoline. Many industries are not functioning.

We are just a few days away from the elections, and the situation is worsening by the day. The current government's candidate is serving as both the president and the economy minister, while the actual president seems to have gone missing to avoid causing harm to the government's candidate, who appears to be disconnected from reality. He is giving away washing machines, refrigerators, beds, and bedroom sets, as well as social welfare plans for half the salary to 13 million people. The shortage of money, akin to an endlessly printing printer, is causing a rapid inflation increase.

Despite promotions offering a 50% refund on purchases, the situation is brutal. You can no longer afford to buy a cell phone, and many people lack clothing. Hospitals lack essential resources, the police are not functioning properly, and the drug problem is rampant. Society is taking to the streets peacefully, but it's uncertain how long this peace will last.

The other candidate proposes dollarizing the economy to put an end to the problem of endless, worthless paper currency. However, he is in conflict with the candidate who is giving away money to buy votes. The other candidate is relatively new to politics, with only two years of experience. In the last elections, the candidate who gives away money received 36% of the votes, while the advocate for dollarization received 30%. Now, the final election is approaching, which will determine the country's future on November 19. We will be watching to see what the near future holds. I would like to share better news, but the current situation is overwhelming and filled with challenges.
