The Diary Game- Charity Visit to the Orphanage

It's another precious time to write on Steemit. I hope everyone is doing great today. In this piece today, I will be sharing with you how my day went at this side of the world which encompasses the normal activities and special church activities I got involved in for the day.

My day started around 5:30 am when the alarm rang to notify me of the new day, time to work again. I tidied up the house and got ready for the day. My work for the day is online, attending to a few pending works on my neck, as such, I attended all I could, most especially, creating a business page for a relative and making sponsored ads in the quest to spread the tentacles of his business. Well well, if you don't know, I am a Google certified digital marketer.

It's afternoon already. Youth fellowship in my church holds every second and last Thursday of the month, at 5 pm. Today is another time and it comes early today as we are visiting an orphanage for the day, such that the meeting time is 4:30 pm. The orphanage for the visit is at Our Lady of Fatima catholic hospital, Osogbo.

We arrived at the home of the orphans and met with the Reverend sister in charge of the orphanage and other workers of the home. The youth of the church talked, prayed, and gave some essentials (basic household needs/money) we have brought for the orphans. The Reverend sister told us a brief history of the place as its name was changed about 6 years ago from motherless babies home to Little Angels of Fatima. She highlighted that not all the children in the home are motherless, some were rescued from incapacitated parents, and so on. Unfortunately, we were unable to take pictures as the home chose to protect the dignity of the children.

The Reverend sister further highlighted they currently have children from the home in the university, four of them to be precise. It's a great day at the home while they gave the youth fellowship of my church the needs of the Little Angels of Fatima which every willing individual can make provision for without being under any association. The kids are lively, healthy, and playing throughout our time at the place. We took some pictures while we left the place.

Above is the needs of the home and mostly, the needs are basic essentials like food items, healthcare, school fees of the kids, and so on. I later departed with the rest of the church members and head back to my house.

In conclusion, I have spent the day doing some of the things I love doing most, yes, charity through helping with anything within my capacity and done in the right way. Visiting the charity today is an eye-opening experience to see what some are dearly in need of and I am sure this visit would draw more people much closer to helping the less privileged to have a better life. Some have taken the responsibility to raise the kids, we too can contribute from our end to make life easier for them. Thanks for reading my article today and I hope you had a great read.
