Hello 👋 steemians how are you doing today, I hope you all are doing well, today I am share with you what I learnt in school in an important topic, Cultism.

Cultism

First of all let's see the meaning of cultism
Cultism means secret cult
Secret cult is an enclosed organised association or group of people devoted to the same cause.
Secret cult is a terminology coined by a formal military head of State, Ibrahim babangida between 1983-1984
Before it ,such groups used to be referred to as fraternity.

Member of the cult group commit themselves to oath and allegiance,which serves as there strong bond . Member of this group are always violent when defending their cause .
Let now see the reason why student join cult

Reason why student join cult

Student are attracted to cult group for a variety of reason such as:

1 . Search for responsibility
Some student join cult group in order to perform services for the member . For example, some of them want to fight perceived injustice on their campuses against their members.

1. Search for security
   Many students, especially the female join for protection. Some male student join to protect their female friend.

2. Search for social identity
   There are also student who join cult group in an attempt to be popular.

Let us see the causes of cultism

Causes of cultism

Some factors responsible for this are:

1. Parental and home background

Students participation in cult activities may be influenced by parent' involvement in similar activities . Parent who are members of secret cult will not see anything wrong in their children involvement in cultism.

1. Harsh situation in the economy

If the economy is very bad people may be influenced to join cultism to better their lives. And many cults today can do anything to make sure they have money or other material things.

1. Corruption in the society can also cause people to engage in cultism. When many are corrupt others are tempted to follow

Cultism today has had more bad influence than good, many people get hurt as a result of cultist acts, many youths get treated, killed as a result of being in cult or cult activities.
Other innocent people also become victims.

So it is adviced that we run away from cultism and say no to it.
