Wow, what a great and sensitive topic Steem4Nigerian has put to our disposal to talk about. I once made a post on the digital footprint. I make us understand, that everything put on the internet can be linked. That matches back to the account and so the person managing the account. So, it will always advise internet users to be careful with what they share on the internet. You need to know what is important, which can be used against you.

Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?

I will never be in support, but I will go ahead to give my reasons. Social media is a crowded environment. It can be risky to share our daily lives. Why is it difficult to tell humans to not share their daily lives on social media, I will advise that this act is done with caution.

My reason is simple, I know many still don't understand how their social media have been hacked or scammed. Hackers do not make things happen, they collect information shared. This information is put together and played over to get what they want. When I talk of information, your date of birth, your favorite color, the places you frequently visit, Your name, your spouse's name, the name of your kids, and images of your identification document.

Personally, this information is sensitive to share on social media. So, be cautious when sharing our lives on social media. When we go ahead to have the fun of sharing details of our lives, keep in mind we need to be responsible. Try as much as possible not to share any details that can bite you in the back.

Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?

I know of many cases of people who have gotten themself into messed-up situations because of the details they showcase on their social media. Your outcome did not turn out well, as we had reported the account to be blocked. He logged on to a public space and mistakenly saved the password in the browser. We don't know if it was an intentional action or a random act. That was the only situation he could remember to have logged into his account. His account was hacked, and from there some of his friends were scammed. The hacker asked his friend to load him with money to solve a problem, that he would pay back.

Just like I mentioned above, this scammer looks for our mistakes to capitalize on. Since they are not here to make friends, the outcome will never be good for us. Some level of showcasing will attach a number of them towards accounts and families.

Do you think all the showcases on social media are true?

How this showcase on social media is looked at, all depends on the internsions. There are two ways to look at it. Celebrity life and normal social media users. There is always a high level of fake life to satisfy the followers of the celebrity, while the normal user is simple and keeps real. Social media is what you want people to see, it is never the real you. Be it a celebrity or a normal social media user. While we can have some truth in what people showcase, some others have a huge lie in what they showcase. Well, since we don't know the truth. It will be better if we accept what we see and have a good sleep at night.

Do you feel safe on steemit with your information? What can you say about steemit

Sorry, there is no way I will save him safely on social media. Steemit is a social blogging platform, that is so different from other social media. So at some level, I am not safe on steemit. Many have motivation why they are on social media. Some are here to pretend to be saints, but one of my family members will call them to monitor spirits LOL.

My reason, I said at some level. Steemit in some way has been more responsible, as most authors have been using the platform more responsibly. I will not take away any credit from Steemit, because the platform has been doing great. A lot has been put in place to manage and control the content that is being shared in the different communities. Not saying steemit is clean, but most communities are doing a great job of having it clean. It is all left to the user, to keep playing a part and act responsibly.

To conclude, I have not yet been convinced that data has been deleted from the internet space. We are sure that data can't be deleted from the blockchain space. So watch and implement extreme care on whatever you share on the social media platform. As mentioned before, everything you showcase on social media is a footprint of your activities. Your actions can be collected and will go either way to affect you, be it positive or negative.
