My Photography Diary: Dews On Flower.
Greetings, best wishes and happy Sunday to every Steemian. Got an amazing photo I want to share with the community today. It's a photo of a flower taken by me.
Really love the way the dews form on this flower, Nature really is beautiful. Took this photo at my neighbours backyard.
I could stare at this photo for days. There's a lot in nature to make one smile and also stand in awe. And we should do our best to help preserve nature as much as possible. A poem from a book says this about nature:
"everything, there is a season of parrots. Instead of feathers, we searched the sky for meteors on our last night. Salamanders use the stars to find their way home. Who knew they could see that far, fix the tiny beads of their eyes on distant arrangements of lights so as to return to wet and wild nests? Our heads tilt up and up and we are careful to never look at each other." -"Summer Haibun" by Aimee Nezhukumatathil
I went to see a friend one morning and as I was playing football with his little brother I kicked the ball to the back of the house and when I got to the spot where the ball landed i saw this photo and couldn't resist the urge to take a photo of it; photography lovers would understand.
I went to go get my phone from inside the house and came back to where the flower was and I took a photo. After spending few more minutes with my friend I left.
After my daily activities, going to play basketball and all, in the evening, when I got home from the court, I had a quick bath, took dinner, made a few jokes and had a good laugh with my two kid sister and then settled down to work on editing the photo in Adobe Lightroom mobile app.
One thing I try to make sure of when editing any photo is to ensure the photo doesn't lose it's originality and I try not to over work on the photo.
I want to make it just perfect; if such a thing exists 😄
I'm a self taught photographer and editor actually and I would be glad if any of you could share any tips and advice to help me get better.
I also follow some professional photographers and use their work as a source of inspiration and motivation. I plan and work to get better daily and I'm glad I could share one of my hobbies or the steemit platform and in this community.
I'll keep exploring, testing and experimenting. And I'm glad I have a wonderful platform like Steemit to share my past and soon to be experiences.
Hope you like it tho?
Looking to do more great and amazing things on the steemit platform.
